My name is Tiffany^^ Almost all of my books are YA, but I also love classics and historical fiction. I've recently finished Queen of Shadows (Sarah J Maas) and I can't wait for the final book!

Welcome to the club!

Happy to find this group. I'm a YA reader and a YA author. This looks like a great place to interact in that community!
Within YA, I lean toward fantasy titles. The Harry Potter series is one of my favorites, and I'm also a fan of The Ranger's Apprentice series, among others. LGBT YA is a close second choice for me, and some of my favorite authors in that arena are Peter Cameron and David Levithan.
I grew up in the 80s when YA was sort of in its infancy, and it's been great to watch the genre explode with so many great stories about young adults. Looking forward to the discussions and recs!

I'm Maddy, books are my obsession. I love pretty much all genres but lean towards fantasy and I am not as keen on contemporary books. I couldn't possibly pick a favorite book, but some of my favorite authors are: Cassandra Clare, Sarah J Maas, Marissa Meyer, Rick Yancey...

I'm Jun, and I'm a university student from Italy. I really enjoy YA novels, even though it's sometimes difficoult to find one that doesn't use the same tropes that we all read about a thousand times. I'm also a writer, and I'm currently working on an adventure book that will soon be finished.
My favourite YA author is probably Cassandra Clare, though I also love Maggie Stiefvater and the classics like the Harry Potter saga :)

My name is Ciara, I'm from Kansas where the usual reaction to book conversations is, ".....you read?.... i mean for fun?"
Favorite book... I would have to say my favorite book of all time is probably Divergent (just the first book).
My favorite author has become julie jagawa. I just enjoy her creativity so much.

My name is Bree and I'm addicted to YA:) I just finished reading Queen of Shadows, and I loved it!!:) Now, I'm trying to decide what to read next:) See you in the discussions:)

I'm Simon, a Brit lucky enough to live in sunny Barcelona. I'm new to goodreads and new to being an author.
I really don't know why it took me so long to join - I read two or three books a week... Loving Sarah J Maas right now and rereading the Harry Potter books for the fourth time!
I'm trying to write a series of YA books that live up to the books that I love from the genre, anybody who wants a copy of the first couple of books in return for a review let me know!
A brit living in barcelona and writing YA sounds interesting :D

I like to think it's / I'm interesting... ;-)
Authors always are interesting :D

At the moment I'm reading The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson and I'm loving it so far!
My favourite books are the Harry Potter books by JKR and The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater!
I'm excited to make friends on here!

I have been part of this group for I awhile but I am only just now beginning to use this group. I feel that despite the fact that I have been part of this group for a while I should begin with an introduction of myself.
Hey, I am Carissa, although at the moment alot of people have begun to call me Clarissa. (That does not seem like much difference, but when Clarissa appears on your group power point rather than Carissa, it becomes a bigger difference.)
I love reading hence the fact that I am part of Goodreads and this group. I feel that previous statement was kind of a given.
I love the author John Flanagan, T.C. Southewell, and Scott Lynch. I do realize that two of the authors are not young adult and that the third one lies between children and Young Adult. This is a result of me finding the writing of the authors amazing. I really enjoy John Flanagan's humor. Scott Lynch is an amazing writer, and T. C. Southwell does an amazing job of characterization. Just because I do not have many (or any depending on who you ask) Young Adult authors does not mean I do not enjoy young adult books. I do.
My favorite books is either The Lies of Locke Lamora or Six of Crows.
