Introduce Yourselves HERE!

Hello everyone :) I am Irene and I live in Greece. Reading is my passion <3 I love reading books since I was a little girl. I like all kinds of book as long as they have an interesting plot. I usually prefer reading YA books since they always fascinate me ^-^

It's really hard for me to decide on my favourite books, but some of them are the Infenal Devices, Heroes of Olympus, Good Omens, The Scorpio Races, Mistborn, and the Discworld books, to name but a few. (And I know some of these aren't exactly YA books, but oh well).
Thanks for creating this group!

Just checked out your blog! Love your reviews and the types of books you review!

My favorite author is Douglas Adams.
My favorite book is Lord of the Rings.
(I have LOTR's quotes and poetry tattooed on my body.)
Glad to be here!

I wrote my book, The Musket Girl, for my twelve-year old, although I didn't get to start for two years and now it's finished she's a young adult. I describe it as fantasy that isn't, because its setting is so unreal it could almost be a fantasy world. New Zealand, my home country, was a very strange place. Because it broke away from the proto-continent of Gondwanaland before the evolution of mammals, it was a kingdom of birds. Lots of ground-dwellers filling roles filled by rabbits, badgers, etc. in the rest of the world. The Maori people are equally fascinating. The had 3D tattoos, carved in their faces with chisels. Tough customers, and a wonderful race. This is the world of The Musket Girl, where Winnie Meldon, her Maori friend Rawiri and their talking tui bird Kura set off to rescue Rawiri's mother Moe from slavers.
Just to get it out there, I'd be happy to give anyone an e-copy. Just message me here.

Hello everyone :)

Deniz- yes! I always say to people who don't like to read "you just haven't read the right book yet" haha I tried and tried to read historical fiction and never liked it until the Outlander series!

Caitlin- that's so good to know! I don't mind long books as long as the story doesn't drag on. If it's too long though I think I can see myself reading other books in between or while I'm reading it! I'm reading specials right now as well, it's taking me forever to read since I feel like the story is just dragging on and repeating itself.

Deniz- aw yes I know what you mean. I don't think Outlander repeats itself but it has a Scottish twist to everything and I think Diana took extra time to explain every detail so it just takes forever, but yeah I do find myself switching books every now and then

My name is Jo Ann Stover. Pen name Jo Ann Gilbert Stover. I am an author. My most recent publication is Laban's Song, a young adult fantasy fiction with inspirational and uplifting content. I love fantasy fiction, but don't care for violence or explicit sexual content, ie, vampires, walking dead, etc. I am currently reading The Apple of My Eye by Mary Ellen Bramwell. Other books I have read are many.

I'm Morgan aka M.N.Henschen. I'm actually a brand new author, and I just released a fantasy YA novel with a slight steampunk twist. In addition to that, I am married, and I'm a mommy to an angel, a 1 year old boy, and another little boy due to make an appearance any day now.
My favorite books are Lord of the Rings, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Giver (the whole series), and the Harry Potter series. I just finished reading Adventure Hunters: Similitude by Cody Martin.

Here's the synopsis. :)
Unlike the princess she'd hoped to be when she was chosen as the next ruler of Ardara, Andolyn Grace McNeil has been on the run from her prince for more than a year. Her nation is in utter ruin, and she carries a knowledge that could push Ardara to the brink of civil war. Walking the edge of a blade, she runs into a unique duo of wanderers: Barden, a lovable poet and musician, and Spade, a roguish thief and
magician. Through the two of them, Andolyn will find help from the most unexpected people, hope in the most unlikely places, and strength where she never expected to see it: in
herself. Through a journey of self discovery, Andolyn reminds Ardara's people that life can be better than it is. She shows them that they are strong enough to take back what has been stolen from them. She reminds them of the Line of Kavanagh.

I decided, a little over a year ago, to try writing my very own book. As of February 17 I officially became a Self-Published author! YAY! I'm so full of nervous-excitement about what people will think of my book PRETTY DANCER. If nothing else, at least I gave it a shot. So, if PRETTY DANCER catches your eye then I hope you love it. Talk again soon!

Brittany, what's the Lux series about?

Feel free to send me suggestions as well as friend requests. I am new to the site and am always looking for new reads and fellow bookworms to discuss them with.
Thanks!

I've watched delirium and I thought it was really cool but I hear it's quite different from the books so I'd really like to read that series. I have so many TBR books but I will get to it soon I hope. Thank you for the welcome!

I watched the Pilot episode of Delerium (it was apparently cancelled)and even though I was interested in it, mainly because I really love the series, it wasn't much like the book. Although the story usually gets altered in the transfer to screen.

I was upset when I found out it was cancelled and then I found out it was a book series and I got excited. Some people told me it wasn't great. What do you think?
