I don't have any ABSOLUTE FAVORITE books, but rather a group that sort of just "stick with me."
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke is one of those. I'm not sure what it is, but it's my go-to comfort book.
As for authors, J.K. Rowling will always have a place in my heart, along with Jane Austen and Stephen King.

I LOVE YA (especially UKYA) and fantasy of all kinds, and my favourite authors are Robin McKinley, Ursula le Guin, Diana Wynne Jones, JRR Tolkien, JK Rowling, David Almond, Sarah J Maas, Laini Taylor and Leigh Bardugo. Hi! my name is Krista, I'm a complete fiction addict and YA is my go to for new, exciting fantasy novels. I don't really read anything outside of Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Historical Fiction, though I've tried. I'm looking forward to discussing the YA books, as no one I know even reads, let alone discusses books. I have a huge collection of books and I continue to add to that collection for my daughters. I'm part of the Rowling generation, and grew up reading and waiting for the Harry Potters to release. I just recently finished the Throne of Glass series and I'm starting on Divergent as soon as I finish Sword of truth. I'm an incredibly fast reader and can usually read a 1000 page book in 3 days or less. I could never choose an all time favorite, but I guess my love of books started with Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

I love reading- my GR challenge goal is 400 and I own about 10,000 books plus another 2,000 or so books my husband just found that were for my classroom library. (I taught elementary and middle school.) Of those 12,000+ books, I've read all but a few hundred.
