My favourite YA series are Divergent and The Selection
I joined because our book lists are similar, so I thought it would be fun to know what you guys think about those books =)

Right now I'm thinking about starting the Selection Series. Heard a lot about it.

Hi, I'm Carol and I'm a YA writer. I'm working on a series of YA fantasy novelettes, The Library of Illumination, and just posted the first episode, Johanna's Story, on Goodreads for a free read. I enjoy reading YA as much as writing it, and see a lot of great recommendations for books here, so I think I'm going to be pretty busy over the next few months, reading and writing.

I'm a sucker for YA Fantasy/Paranormal romance. So if you can or want to rec me any with that good ol' cliched romance I'll love you forever.
So my favourite book is Divine By Mistake by P.C. Cast and she is also my favourite author!

My names is LunaEllie and my favorite book is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, they are at a pretty even tie for me. My favorite author would have to be John Green or Sarah Dessen.

I love to meet new people so I'm always down for a good book conversation :)

Some of my favorite books/series and authors are Tiger Saga by Colleen Houck, Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson, Hush Hush Saga by Becca Fitzpatrick, and Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead.

I hope this group will help me find out about great new YA books! :)

I am open to new books as well!!

I don't have a favorite book persay but The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, Vampire Academy, Hush Hush, Shadow Falls, Mara Dyer, Mythos Academy, and House of Night are some of my favorite YA series. Cassandra Clare is my favorite YA author hands down.

I am a total book worm!

My name is Catherine and I live in New Zealand. My favourite (NZ spelling don't grill me) fantasy author is Elizabeth Knox - seriously look her up if you haven't. Can not let this go wihtout dropping in Walter Moers and his Zamonia series. Have never read anything like it, straight up crazy! Hoping this group will be a good resource to sought out new books to devour.
Happy reading :)

Anyway, happy to join the group. I'll be around a lot, hopefully!

Despite my age, (and I read many genres of books), but still love many of the children's and YA books from my past, so some will be classed as classics now. Through my own children now YA's, I get to hear and read some work by new contemporary writers too. I was a teacher of literacy, who underwent a career change into copy editing. My work gives me the best of both worlds. It introduces me to new writers and their work, and through these writers I also get to hear of other good books to read. I love books with fantasy, quest, good over evil, historical and paranormal story lines. I will be reading and picking up hints for books to read and maybe mentioning any good reads I find too.

Cheers.

I'm Wanda Paryla, and the author of the YA/new adult novel, Someday Always Comes.
I love to read anything! I like most genres...not too big on horror unless it's supernatural. I don't like stuff like...well, think Saw. I love vampire or ghost related stories the most, and definitely a good mystery.
I've recently started reviewing indie authors & those from small publishers on my Wordpress blog.
My all-time favorite novel is still Gone with the Wind. And, I don't care what anyone else thinks, I did like those "Twilight" books!
