Hi my name is Farid-ul-Haq...a huge fan of Harry Potter, LOTR and Goosebumps...my favorite authors are J.K Rowling, R.L Stine, Enid Blyton and Christopher Pike..i write YA myself, however i like reading YA because you can't become a good writer unless you are a good reader first

Fave book atm is Hunger Games, but it changes so often, it'll probs be different tomorrow haha!

@Teira, Wow you live in Australia?? I have ALWAYS wanted to live there! I live in the US though >.< My parents took me with them for a visit to Sydney last summer and it was so much fun! You guys have my absolute favorite candy ever that they don't sell in the states and o course driving on the left side of the road was so cool! Have you ever heard of the Kid's Lit Quiz?

I'm Sam, I'm a doctor who still loves her YA. Read a fair bit, but nothing tops Sabriel, the first YA book I read.

Hey Summer!:)

I'm a YA Author and love following along with all the reader discussions. I don't post often but wanted to say hello and introduce myself. SECOND VERSE, my YA romantic mystery/thriller comes out later this year. I read tons of YA, almost any genre. I love contemp, paranormal, horror, mystery, romance and everything in between. Love following along with the group of YA readers. There's nothing quite like a good YA book. Hi, everyone!:)

Hey Rachel!:)

My favorite YA books are the fantasy princess-y types of books. I love "The Girl of Fire and Thorns" by Rae Carson and "Graceling" by Kristen Cashore.
I also love the series "Peter and the Starcatchers" by Dave Barry and Ridley Phearson; I've read the first book twice now and going to start it again soon so I can read the entire series!
My favorite book of all time is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. I'm currently working on reading the entire Oz series and I'm working on the second book in the series. (:

Fave YA books include Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, though I am also made to understand that The Maze Runner series is quite good, as are Divergent and Prodigy, so I have some catching up to do!
Fave authors, regardless of genre, are Keigo Higashino, Harper Lee, JK Rowling, Suzanne Collins, CS Lewis, Ted Dekker and quite a few others!

Hey Kiara! I would love to watch your videos:) I also make book reviews on YouTube!x

Hey Kelley!:)

I'm new to the group and excited to be a part of this group! I love to write! I'm a blogger, full time mom of three, songwriter and entrepreneur. Life never gets dull!
Also I'm 32 years old and an author of three books! I released my first Young Adult fiction novel - The Realm - today and I'm excited to say that it's FREE on amazon from today until Friday. It's a book that's actually based on true events that happened in my family. I wrote it for my dad and it's been a special experience! I would love for you all to check out and give it a review. Hey Jaimie:)x

Hey Tiffany!:)

Hey Rachel!!:D

I love to read almost anything(well, anything that sounds appealing). Lately, I have been reading the Infernal Devices series and Mortal Instrument series.
I look forward being apart of this group. :)

My name is Kim. Excited to join the group.
A little bit about me... I'm a dog lover, wife, friend, sister, writer, author, Pinterest junkie, foodie, wine-o, and YA bookaholic.
Hmm... my fav book? It's hard to choose one. I'd have to say it would be between The Help and The Hunger Games (even though The Help really isn't considered YA).
Favorite Author by far is V.C. Andrews for reasons that relate to my childhood. Judy Blume is a very close second.
Looking forward to connecting with everyone!

I'm really excited to join the group as I love having people to discuss books with!
Hi I'm Iyara. I can't decide on a favorite book or author but I love the Harry potter series and I reread alot of Tamora pierce's books.

Welcome to the group Kaleigh! =) BTW, The Selection got my attention. What can you say about it?? I have a copy but I haven't read it yet. =)

All I can say is, READ IT. Honestly I loved it! I finished the first book in a day and the second one the day after. When you do get around to read it let me know, Team Aspen(booo) or Team Maxon(yaay)

My favorite genre is fantasy, but I haven't been able to find too many exciting new works. Classics like Tolkien were great, the first couple Robert Jordan books were great, Wizard's First Rule was
fun.
Non-techie sci fi.. I like The Adventures of The Stainless Steel Rat, Deathworld, Ender's Game, and Callahan's Crosstime Saloon. I like good adventure stories of any genre, including Winterdance, Seabiscuit, and recently I have been getting hooked on YA because that seems to be where the most exciting and innovative writing is happening (Hunger Games, Divergent, MazeRunner, etc.). I am working on a fantasy book as time allows, and will start a
book blog soon.
Feel free to stop by and check out my booklist or drop me a friend request, I am fairly new to the Goodread's
neighborhood.
