Introduce Yourselves HERE!

My name is Keely, I'm 14, and I'm new to this site so forgive me if I do anything wrong! Ahah.
I love just about all YA books but my favourites are usually paranormal/fantasy stories an dystopian stories. A few of my favourite authors are Cassandra Clare, Scott Westerfeld, and Suzanne Collins.

Hi Brian, Keely, and Kassandra! Welcome to the group! :)
Hi Simone thanks so much for joining!! :)

Although I'm out of the general age range (I'm 21), I still like to keep updated with YA books; they're what I started with, and the genre has exploded. Whenever I'm in a bookstore and see someone looking hesitantly at the YA (now "teen") shelves, I'll offer to help. It's great fun!
I'm not sure I can pick a favorite book, but the latest YA books that really rocked my socks: The Fault in Our Stars (Mr. Green just gets better and better!), Anna Dressed in Blood (haven't been able to finish the sequel, can't get into it) by Kendall Blake, A Long, Long Sleep by Anna Sheeman. Those are the three I thought of as I glanced through Calibre. Ms. Cashore's "Bitterblue" was lovely as well, though I didn't enjoy it as much as its predecessors. Maggie Stiefvater makes me like her more each book; both The Raven Boys & The Scorpio Races were fantastic reads.
I'll read essentially any genre - though sci-fi and dystopian books have to be better than average to keep my interest - with a soft spot towards fantasy.
My least favourite things about the genre of late has been all of the "instalove" romances and series (especially first books) that make you wait a few books before getting into the good stuff.
This is one of my first Goodread groups, I hope I'm doing this right. :)

Hello. My name is Kaitlyn. I recently self-published my own YA book
I pretty much only read YA books with the exception of a few authors. I can't say I have just one favorite author, though.
Currently, I'm finishing up reading the Fallen series by Lauren Kate and have a huge stack of other YA books to tackle after that.

I'm Aliyah and I like to lay and bed and cry while I read Nicholas Sparks books... :D
Any of you can add me! I love talking to people about books, but none of my friends really like to read so I'm kind of the dork of the group. Haha:] Add me, talk to me, recommend books to me, I'm open to whatever;)

Hi everyone! My name is Zak, I'm a freelance writer from Gainesville, Florida. Love reading YA books, particularly YA Fantasy. Some of my favorites are Graceling and Finnikin of the Rock.
I look forward to chatting with everyone!
I look forward to chatting with everyone!

Anyway, I'll go ahead and say I love Twilight and get that big elephant out of the way. Recently I've read

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

My favorite book is The Host.
My favorite author is Amanda Hocking.

Whoa my older sister did the exact thing in 2008! She had her wisdom teeth removed and asked me to read Twilight outloud to her. I can't stop reading now!

I think my favorite book I've read recently (because I can't possibly choose a favorite of all time) is THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE. Well, that or THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. I'm kind of in a dead-lock between the two. Point is, if you love YA contemp and haven't read those, you MUST. Seriously.
Right now, I'm reading ANGELFALL by Susan Ee. I've heard great things about it, so I'm excited to get started. The first chapter already rocks.
Looking forward to meet all of you!

I'm an author, school (Yr7-13) librarian, reader, mother and book lover. As an avid reader I'm pleased and excited about this group. I enjoy all genres (although I'm not overly keen on horror), but especially romance, paranormal, sci fi and dystopian. I look forward to reading everyone's recommendations and reviews.
I have dozens of favourites, but the book I pull out every year to reread is A Day In The Life of Ivan Denisovich.

Hey everyone welcome to the group! :)

Hi there, I'm Rhonda Kay and I love to read. It's pretty much my life! I'm open to any kind of books and sometimes I really do judge them by their covers (Bad habit, yes I know but 50% of the time I'm right about it! lol). I really am hoping to meet some new friends and to find some new books to read! :D

I'm Maria Jose and I breath books... I'm into everything mostly, classical literature, fiction, non-fiction, YA, etc. Some of my favorite authors are Cortazar, Austin, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, etc.

I'm a reader and writer from Washington State. Mostly I read horror and crime, but Harry Potter turned me into a YA fantasy fan.
My favorite YA authors are J.K. Rowling, Suzanne Collins, and Neil Gaiman.
Just like any other genre, I don't like a lot of what's out there, so any recommendation from you folks in the know would be appreciated :)
