So yeah, my favorite books are, The Hunger Games, The Fault in Our Stars, The Knife of Never Letting Go, Animal Farm, The 39 Clues books, Harry Potta, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Divergent, Witch and Wizard, and Hush, Hush ETC. My Favorite Authors are, Suzanne Collins, John Green, Patrick Ness, George O'rwell, Rick Riodran, J.K. Rowling, Stehpen Chosbky, Veronica Roth, James Patterson, Becca Fitzpatrick etc.

Hi, my name is Stacie. I'm 23 years old from London,UK. I love reading, and even though I found the joy in it a bit late (around the age of 11-12) I've been reading ever since.
I read pretty much anything but my favourite is YA.

Old favourites : Harry Potter, The Saga of Darren Shan, The Demonata Series, The Mortal Instruments (only the first 3), Before I Die etc

I have read The Infernal Devices but found the story to be really recycled haha. The Mortal Instruments used to one of my favourite series but after She started bringing out more the it and other stories that had the same sorta love triangle in it I lost hope. Specially when I found out she going to be bring another series with the same story line. I just feel that she's taking something that was once great and miliking it. You know?

I know what you mean, althought I didn't experience this myself with The Infernal Defices. I found it quite original that she placed it in another time, although the triangel definitely feels a little the same. I did hear that City of Fallen Angels and City of Lost Souls were not great. Just bought book 4 myself and this book is hard to read. I don't know why, but I think it's like what you said. Their story was just over.

I know what you mean. I've read all her books but I only liked the 3 because after that they just seemed the same haha.

im arlene. i a hard core ya reader. my current record was 128 books two years ago:) right now i am reading legend, by marie lu. half blood by jenifer l. and the sword art online short novels. as well as the game of thrones series.. i dont have a favorite author or favorite book... i guess it is because i love them all:D
im also an exchange student in a scandinavian country so i plan on reading a little less this year

Contemporary YA and epic fantasy are my favourite genres at the moment but, really, I'll read anything if the summary grabs me. Hello! I'm Nikita and I cannot remember a time in my life when books weren't my best friends. :-) I would have to say that my favourite book is Looking for Alaska by John Green, because of how much I could relate to the characters and because of what the book taught me, and my favourite author would have to be John Green, because of the impact he has had on how I perceive life in general (not just through his books but also his other creative projects).

I tend to only read fiction and lurk in the YA section a lot. Some other authors that are really close to my heart are David Levithan, Stephen Chbosky, Jay Asher, Jodi Picoult, and Kazuo Ishiguro. I also enjoy my fair share of dystopia and fantasy, so of course Suzanne Collins and J. K. Rowling are high up in my charts as well.

I'm excited to have stumbled upon this group and hopefully I'll have a great time discovering new books and authors along with the rest of you! :-)

Hi I'm Shiela and I'm 17! This is my first group in Goodreads:) I love YA! My favorite author is John Green and I love all his books, but my favorite is The Fault in Our Stars. Looking for Alaska is a very close second. I read both contemporary and fantasy YA and I can't really choose which one I like better because I read based on my mood:)) For contemporary YA, I really like Sarah Dessen, especially Along for the Ride and Just Listen. I also love Jenny Han and her Summer series...Anna and the French Kiss! I can't list all of the books that I loved because the list will be endless:)) I just pretty much read everything contemporary from Meg Cabot to John Green. Now for fantasy/supernatural. Harry Potter is my number one, of course.:))I used to really like vampire books, and I really LOVED Richelle Meade's (Dmitri!)Vampire Academy series. I also LOVE (Adrian!) Bloodlines series now:)) I LOVE dystopian books, but this genre is really a hit or miss for me!!! Hunger games opened my eyes to this amazing genre. I LOVE Divergent!! I also really like Under the Never Sky, Angelfall, Uglies..(I'd like to really know more great dystopian books)For fantasy I really like The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, Unearthly..etc:)) I also really like adventure/epic books like Graceling and Poison Study. I can't remember some of the other books I like because they're too many! HAHA this comment is so long, I'm just so excited to share my thoughts finally:))

Hello Everyone, my name is Lee. I have always loved reading Epic Fantasy, and lately I have been looking for good YA Urban Fantasy and Paranormal books, so I figured I would check this group out. I love reading! It's finding the time that's the hard part :). My favorite authors are Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.
