Hi, I'm Maudie, I usually write nursing books but this time I'm trying my first YA book. It's called 'The Quota' and features a man who is damaged by an abusive childhood. He seeks to recall the time in his boyhood where he was happy with his Barbie dolls until his father destroyed them. He seeks out girls who look like Barbie dolls and kidnaps them. His quota is 4 - what will happen when he abducts them all?

Anyways, g'day I'm Marianne. I'm a book worm at heart and soul and will always be.
I read almost anything that I find interesting( I have to like the cover to actually read the book).

Hi, I am Yvonne and, like everyone else, an avid reader. I read about 2 books a week - one usually a YA novel and one having to do with history (French history is my favorite). I am a middle school French teacher and started getting into YA novels because of my students. Also my own children are at the YA novel age and I like to know what they are reading YA novels truly cover a wide age range, so I want to ensure the appropriateness of what they are reading. The Hunger Games and Divergent trilogies are what got me hooked. I look forward to being part of this book group!

Like most everyone in this group, I love to read.

My family has been known to hostage my eReader so that I have no choice but to make dinner. My students, normally very reluctant readers, are amazed when I tell them that the book they are interested in is only on my to-read list.

I love many types of books, but not too ken on paranormal. i like ones where it might really be happening..like maybe on the next street,lol.Right now I am amazed at a book I am reading because I was kinda dreading it, since it's like one long poem, but the content pulled me in. It is one of the best books I think I have ever read, and I have read thousands. It is called Home of the Brave. I am looking to also find some books to get my almost teen son into reading so am looking for ideas.
