Maria | 7 comments Hi all! I am Maria and I recently got back into reading again. My favorite books are honestly a very long list but ones I can think of at the top of my head are: Killing November, Witch’s Pyre, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Hunger Games, The Red Pyramid, Better Than the Movies, Fourth Wing, Matched. I am all over the place with genres as long as the book is good (coming from someone who gets bored easily lol). My favorite author is Rick Riordan because his Lightening Thief series was what what got me into reading back then and I binged. I am always open to book recommendations and if you want to rant or talk about my current obsession Fourth Wing I am up for that too :)

message 9903: by Vânia (new)

Vânia (vaniarusso) Hi, my name is Rafalela! My favorite books are the entire Guardians of the Maiden series and The Folk of the Air. I don't really have a favorite author but I love Beck Michael's and Holly Black's writing style. I'm obsessed with fantasy books and I'm currently trying the romance world a bit (dark romance also but still getting used to it)

message 9908: by Megan (new)

Megan 🌸 | 3 comments Hello! My name is Megan and I love to read. I’m happily married to the love of my life for about 2 years now but have been together for 8 years. I am a cat mommy to 4 sweet but chaotic kitties named Cookie, Cream, Coconut, and Peaches. I have graduated college with my associates of science but plan to go back to get my degree in medical radiology technology. I don’t really have a favorite author or series because I enjoy them all. I’m currently involved in a 2024 reading challenge of 30 books for the year; I’m already 3 books completed for it. I’m an outgoing and funny person who is always looking to make new friends :) 📚

message 9909: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Stone | 1 comments hiii my name is nicole. well i’ve never been a big fan of reading all my life. but recently i’m trying to get more into it. i’ve learned that i’m more of an audiobook type of person than a physical book kind of person because of my adhd. i’m still learning what kind of books i like. tho i am learning i’m loving fantasy books. but i also do love a bit of romance…especially some spicy romance. i don’t know what else to say, besides i’m happy to be here.

message 9910: by Carty (new)

message 9911: by María (new)

María Segado (msf_) | 2 comments Hey! I’m María😊. I’m currently in LOVE with YA fantasy. For some years I thought I had to read “grown up books” bc I was a grown up but then my father gifted me a fantasy book and I can’t stop now! I let aside thriller and historical kinda books to dive more into the fantasy genre and I don’t regret it hahaha

It’s really nice meeting all of you!

message 9912: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Rogge (ashleyxmichel) | 1 comments My name is Ashley. 34 from Charleston. I’ve loved books my whole life but took me to getting out of high school to actually become obsessed and actually read them lol. I really love fantasy, romance, YA,and SMUT! I’m a swiftie, love 80s/rock/metalcore, and pop music. Obsessed with The Vampire Diaries Supernatural, and YouTube creators that film paranormal/abandoned houses… like OmarGoshTV, Sam and Colby, and Twin Paranormal to name a few. While we’re on YouTube, I absolutely adore Larry Reads channel and Fantasy Fangirls Podcast! Other than books, TV Shows, music, and YouTube… I love spending time with my husband, my family/friends, and traveling (mostly to “Mystic Falls). I love socializing and meeting new people… don’t be a stranger and come say hi! Add my Goodreads, Bookstagram, and Booktok! Cant wait to chat!

kharis (webkinzfan69) | 1 comments Hey everyone! I'm Kharis, currently nearing the end of middle school, and I've just recently gotten into reading. My favorite YA books are Benjamin Alire Saenz' Aristotle and Dante DtSotU and Shaun David Hutchinson's We Are the Ants. My favorite book of all time, though, is Anthony Doerr's All the Light We Cannot See. I'm now reading Tracy Deonn's Legendborn and I'm loving it so far!!! I'm trying to make book friends—desperate for it, actually—so don't hesitate to hit me up with a friend request 🥹

message 9920: by Meg (new)

Meg (meaganilsley) Hi! I'm Meg, from Canada, and though I've been an avid reader for a long time, I've only just had the opportunity to get back into reading more for pleasure than anything else. I enjoy reading, writing, and worldbuilding, and love taking time to explore new and upcoming authors. I have two snakes and four cats, all of whom have somewhat nerdy names. I don't really have a favourite book; I have a lot of things that move me, that I enjoy, that I find pleasure in, but I don't really have a favourite.

message 9921: by Ööö (new)

Ööö | 2 comments Hello, my name is Özlem. Even though my name means missing someone in Turkish, I don't like to read about characters missing someone and suffering, which contradicts my name. :) I usually read detective and adventure books. My favorite authors are Dan Brown and Agatha Christie. Nice to meet you!

message 9922: by Christopher (last edited Feb 13, 2024 11:30AM) (new)

Christopher Westland (westlandgithubio) | 1 comments My name is Chris Westland (James is my first name) and I'm afraid I don't really fit the demographic for YA (you can check out my webpage at https://westland.github.io/). But I've started writing non-fiction books which I hope will please a YA audience, and I would love to hear from this group on what they think of my work. My first two books are "Revolutionary Bites" and "The Book of Light" ... you can find them on Amazon under my name; these can be checked out for free on Kindle Unlimited. The first book is on tech, industry and management, and the second on light (as you might guess). They are short and written in a style that I feel is similar to YA fiction. So what does this group think about non-fiction, and in particular science and business topics?

message 9923: by Rich (new)

Rich Oliver Hi, I'm Rich and I am an aspiring LGBT+ YA author. I am far older than most YA readers I have seen, but I enjoy reading stories filled with characters that I wish I had been able to read when I was growing up or in my early years of adulthood. I have so many favorite authors, but Phil Stamper and Robbie Couch are two great ones. I enjoy mysteries, but honestly a good romance and decent characters make my day. I'm trying to branch out more into reading nonfiction and fantasy.

Hi, and welcome, Marissa! I'm not sure how you feel about M/M YA lit, but here are three great ones: THE GRAVITY OF US by Phil Stamper, THE TEMPERATURE OF ME AND YOU by Brian Zepka, and KEEP THIS TO YOURSELF by Tom Ryan.

message 9935: by Merilin (new)

Merilin (the_bookshelf_of_merilin) (the_bookshelf_of_merilin) Hi! I'm Merilin from Estonia.

I've been a reading fan my whole life and I have a bachelor's degree in English. I've gotten into reading more in the last year after I finished my master's degree in cultural management and suddenly freed a lot of time in my schedule. Around that time I also started a bookstagram account (@the_bookshelf_of_merilin) where I share reviews of the books I've read and everything else bookish. I read everything, but I have a soft spot in my heart for fantasy, YA, and romance.

I'm always looking for more bookish friends and recs, so feel free to add me on Goodreads :)
