Sue Hi! My name is Susanne but everyone calls me Sue. Tho I read a lot of different genres, I always find my way back to YA. My favorites are definitely murder mysteries like the Good Girls Guide to Murder series or the Truly Devious Series, but I won’t say no to some good fantasy or romance.
My favorite book of all time is Dark Matter by Blake Crouch, even tho I wouldn’t count that as YA.

message 8452: by TutyFruity (new)

TutyFruity Hey! My name’s Diewertje! (it’s a Dutch name lol)
I obviously love YA books and I just got out of a reading slump (yay).
Some of my favourite authors are Holly Black, Nicola Yoon, Stephanie Meyer, Kiera Cass etc. etc.
I haven’t read many books yet, but that means I have many more stories ahead of me. I’m open for recommendations and would love to talk to you about your favourite books and authors.
Also, I’m new to goodreads (as in, I joined this week) so I’m still figuring out how all of this works. So far so good! ;)

message 8453: by Hope (new)

Hope Sommers Hey im Hope and im an absolute sucker for romance books even though i don't really believe in it in real life. I thinks books are the only place they exist and if any of you want to be friends, im down for that!

message 8454: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi! I'm Linn, I love YA books, though my favorite genre remains to be mistery/thriller/MURDER
I'm new to this whole group thing, so I have no idea what's going on or if I could comment or not, but oh well

message 8455: by Janie (new)

Janie (janiedis) | 2 comments I'm Janie and I've been super into YA probably because I'm a YA myself...I've been trying to get back into reading but ever since 6th grade, it's been super challenging because I have ADHD. I'm currently reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

Briana (brianaandrea) | 15 comments Mod
Hi, I'm Briana! My favorite book is probably Jane Eyre, but I will read anything! I like to think that I'm open to giving most anything a chance. Except for the Covid-19 romance novel that was recommended to me (about a woman in love with the actual virus if you are interested). My favorite author is Scott Westerfeld.

message 8457: by K_mugen (new)

K_mugen | 3 comments Hi, I'm Kaitlyn! I have many, many favorite books in YA, but I'm trying to expand my horizons! I'm a fantasy girl, but I'm always willing to be some contemporary, sci-fi, and poetry. I just have to be in the mood for it. I would love recommendations to add to my never-ending TBR!

message 8459: by Jacquelyn (new)

Jacquelyn Mobbs | 2 comments Hi, I'm Jackie! I'm enjoying reading all the ya books that I missed when I was younger. I normally just read all the books my mom would buy herself, so I never really bought or wanted new books. My favorite books of all time are the Outsiders, Dark Companion, Don't hurt Laurie, Returnable girl. I have others but those are my all time that I reread pretty much every year!

message 8460: by victoria (new)

victoria | 2 comments Hello everyone!
My name is Victoria and I’ve been a reader ever since I can remember. My obsession with books started from PonyClub ones (yes, I was a horse girl lol), in high school, I was pretty hung on poems and autobiographies. Nowadays I mostly reach for YA or (high) fantasy, but a good thriller/horror or sci-fi story will also get me hooked. I’m a huge fan of Leigh Bardugo’s writing, my favourite book (so far) is These Broken Stars though, the romance and the world building is just *chef’s kiss*.
I’m open to talk about anything and I’m hoping to meet some lovely people here! <3

message 8461: by Sophia (new)

message 8464: by Haylee (new)

Haylee (hayleesreads) Hi Everyone!

My name is Haylee, I started my reading journey many years ago however I never really got into reading YA fantasy until the beginning of quarantine, so I have been making up for the books I missed reading in my young adult years! My favourite books have to be the From Blood and Ash series by JLA, Caraval by Stephanie Garber or Swear on This Life by Reneé Carlino. If a book has the enemies to lovers trope, I will run, not walk, to my nearest book store and buy it - that trope will forever have my heart lol. I love seeing what people are reading and what they have read in the past, so feel free to send a friend request, or send over any recommendations!! :)

jenny ლ(◉‿◉ ლ) (stalgx) hi everyone!

i'm jenny and i am a huge lover of young adult, fantasy and crime! my favourite authors are Cassandra Clare, Sarah J. Maas, Leigh Bardugo and V.E Schwab. I love House of Earth and Blood in the Crescent City series, Caraval by Stephanie Garber, Six of Crows, and If We Were Villains by M.L Rio.

none of my friends get me when i talk book-ish to them so hopefully i can find a lot of kindred spirits here!

x. jen

Jessica | 8 comments Erika wrote: "What's your name? Favorite book? Author?"

Hi! My name is Jessica (or Jess I don't mind!) I am 17 years old.
I used to be so into reading, I would never put books down! The last 2 years I completely fell out of reading, this year I have fallen back in love with it- it has also opened my mind to the creative side I have that I pushed down after starting college and not really choosing a creative course.

I recently just finished You and me at the end of the world by Brianna Bourne. I finished it within two days, and it is easily now my favourite book of all time. If you want a book that easily helps you escape life for a while this is definitely the book for you! Never has a book made me feel so much like I am right there in the moment, it was genuinely an amazing read and I already miss reading it!

I would love to hear some recommendations.
My top 3 books are (in no order):
You and Me at the end of the world- Brianna Bourne
If I stay- Gayle Forman
Letters to the lost- Brigid Kemmerer
If anyone knows of those books and has any recommendations of books similar to these I would love to hear!
Thank you! :)

I would love to have friends on this app to recommend me some books! Add me!

Katherine Bond (katherine_grace_bond) | 37 comments Hi, I'm Katherine. I live in the Pacific Northwest and I'm both a reader and a writer. I suspect I'm considerably older than most of the people in this group, but I worked with teen writers for a lot of years, which made me very happy, and I have never stopped loving YA books. My favorite childhood book was A Wrinkle in Time, and a lot of my reads as a teen had a paranormal bent (there was this author I loved called Ruth M. Arthur, who wrote a lot of spooky books.)

More recently, I've loved books by Maggie Stiefvater, Janet Lee Carey, Naomi Novik, Leigh Bardugo, and David Almond.
