kylee (kaithenaeum) | 3 comments Hii my name is kai and I'm 16 yrs old. I'm from cabin 6 of Camp half-blood. I love to read manga, manhwa and ebooks. I also watch anime especially those whose plots capture my interest. Fantasy is my first love, but I found myself falling for mystery-thrillers, dark, blood and gore murders, whodunnit and so. As a teenager, I'm awkward, I have social anxiety most of the time but I try my best to not let it show. When I earn money for myself, I wanna build my own sanctuary with a mini library to it and a secret passage to one bookshelf that leads to a game room or my workspace. I guess that's all I had to share, I hope I can gain friends here <3<3

Hi All, I wrote Flight of the Shaman, a YA book, some time ago. I have since had success with another book 'KURT LANGER : NEMESIS OF TERROR' it has caused interest in my earlier novel.

Here is a brief synopsis;-

"Enter into the world of the Shaman. Watch him through the eyes of the boy wearing the Helmet of Power. The transmigration of the soul of the Shaman from the time of the Inca to World War I is accomplished, the girl carries energy that must be regained.

If you enjoy a supernatural tale with a twist this is the book for you."

Hi Keira! If you want to check out the book I recommended the other day....it's called, "Called Upon" by Bethany Lee. I have a discount code I received with my order for 40% off! You would just go to her website bethanylee.com and used the coupon code CalledUpon40 to get the discount. My daughter and I really loved this book! She is a new author as well, which we always like to support.

Mari (thenoto) | 2 comments hII! My name is Mari,28. When I was younger like elementary school young, I used to read EVERY book I could touch. When I got into middle school I fell in love with a series Warriors by Erin Hunter.
But teenager genes and high school kicked in and I stopped reading books. Now that I'm older and on my own, I thought about reading again. I am a very creative day dreamer and I thought I couldn't imagine enough. So maybe reading can ignite that creative spark in me again. I don't have a specific favorite genre or authors. I am always willing to listen to recommendations to get this new blank page of book lists started. I'd love to read a book with someone and talk about it!

message 7429: by Clarissa (new)

Clarissa (cmdufresne) Hello, my name is Clarissa. I work with nonfiction for work, so most of my fun reading is fiction. I like magic, to be surprised, and basically to have my heart ripped out. Picking a favorite it way too hard, but some of the top contenders recently would be ACOTAR, The Starless Sea, House of Salt and Sorrow, Caraval series, Shatter Me series, Grishaverse, Night Circus, The Queen's Rising, Uprooted, and The Rook.

message 7430: by Malcolm (new)

Malcolm Smith | 1 comments Hi, Malcolm here. I love drama and music and all things artistic, and have already been playing the harp for about 7.5ish years, but ever the perfectionist I aspire to learn as many instruments as I possibly can. Annnnnnnnd like any other sane, educated, literary person... Detest maths! These days during quarantine, I spend most of my time reading and writing up in my cozy-roofed loft, sandwiched in the middle of my house in the den. Currently, I'm staying warm, reading and writing anything and everything from goodreads reviews, to chatting on blogs and forums, (as it's legitimately FRIGID in Canada) in an attempt to keep my teenage life normal and sane amidst the ongoing global pandemic, as i'm already absolutely, utterly, and completely obsessing over the stunningly beautiful Shadowhunter fandom/universe, after losing my sainety in their dreamy heaven last March. ..Haaaaaaahhh.. (aka: Not the sporty type). OOOOkkk beyond that boring stuff: Did I mention I love to read???? Oh yeah and did I mention again that I. LOVE. TO. READ????!!!! My favorite authors are definitely Sarah J. Maas, Veronica Roth, Victoria Aveyard, Robert Munchamore, James Dashner, Sabha Tahir, Holly Black, and most importantly the beautiful babe Cassandra Clare (who must be kept safe and protected at all costs!!!) In terms of my beloved genres, they consist mostly of a hybrid between fantasy, sci-fic, mystery, and action, with a little non-fiction history sprinkled in the mix, to ensure I don't lose my touch with reality. Ok, I guess I'm now also the kid who's not embarrassed to admit that he like's a little bit of everything mixed together in his literature, (and even for sake of not making a squeamish first impression) a little wee-bit of romance. Ohhhhhh, and how could I forget of coursseee, YA Fiction. That's why I'm here of course!!!! My most cherished books have got to be Red Queen, followed closely by the Fates Divide, and then City of Glass (yep you guessed it - a book from the Shadowhunter's series), AND yet STILL, it feels so criminal to abandon Cassy now, so Chain of Gold and Clockwork Prince, there you go... those are # 4 and 5. In fact I'm going to proceed to list every book in the Shadowhunter's series right no- because LOYALTLY, and their legitimately my 1,2,3,7, 15 -... 21, 35.. next books on my most treasured list! Oh wait... NOOOooooOOoOOOOO... I don't have enough characters!!!! :O :'(

message 7431: by Sephi (new)

Sephi Hi every body, I am 16 years old and I always read after my online learning as it is a form of escapism from the world because it doesn't look good at the moment.
I am currently reading "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", I enjoy reading this series and I am quiet sad that some characters and event where removed from the films.
I can't wait to start reading next months books and I have already ordered one ("Lovely War").

Lucian Bridges | 1 comments My name is Lucian, I love all genres but like you, at the age of 41 still enjoy YA novels as much as any other. I recently read the Gone Series, which is something I had missed before, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

At the end of the day, a good book, is a good book.

Favourite author? Hard to say, but I read a lot of Branden Sanderson and Neil Gaiman.

I really like YA books:) It's hard to choose a favorite book, but I have some favourites. Those are ACOTAR, divergent and legend.
Carve the marke, hunger games, delirium, matched, everlife, red queen, fablehaven and the selection are also really good:)
I would say that my favourite author is Marie Lu.

sofia isabella m (fiatheburntleprechaun) | 19 comments Helloooo there fellow Goodreaders, my name is Fia, I am 13 years old, and reading is the main reason for my existence. I ADORE all types of YA, from murder mysteries (it's an ongoing game between my fellow nerds and I to reveal the murderer from only a few chapters in) to romance, paranormal/supernatural to fantasy and everything in between.
Currently my fav series are the Infernal Devices (my girl Cassie Clare), Caraval (the talented Stephanie Garber), the Young Elites (the ever lovely Marie Lu), and the Lunar Chronicles (gotta love Marissa Meyer). I also recently finished Instant Karma, a contemporary novel also by Marissa Meyer, and oh mah gosh, IT WAS GOOD.
Of course when I go to write about myself and the books I love I am suddenly hit with severe amnesia, and so this is barely a chip in my cavern of Beloved Books For All To Read. I also love swimming, biking, being a nerd along with my similarly nerdy friends, and reading. Reading is pretty cool.
