My name is Brian Mayfield, I am 20 years old, and this is the first goodreads group I have joined! I love reading YA, ever since I first read the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I would have to say that my favorite YA book series is the Rot & Ruin series by Jonathan Maberry. Yes, it's a series set in a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic world, and I know it may not be for everyone, but I love the characters in the books. Plus, the books deal with characters growing up mentally, and it's a fun ride, even with the zombies.
