Introduce Yourselves HERE!

I live in a self-converted camper van and before Covid was travelling the USA and Canada. I steer towards fantasy and science fiction. I do love a good vampire novel, and I will read romance but prefer the lighter side of things. Which is a big reason I prefer YA/NA over much of the grittier, more "adult" novels out there.
Outside of reading I'm a mountain biker, sword fighter, and all around nerd.

My name is Katrina. I love YA fiction because I think teenage characters are in a constant battle between racing towards adulthood and wanting to hold onto their magical childlike perception of the world…and that can make for some amazing fictional moments.
I’m a book editor, which is awesome because that means that I get to read some pretty incredible work. I enjoy writing YA urban fantasy and paranormal fiction. My first book, The Wise One, will be released this October, and I’m so excited about it. I’d love to connect with fellow writers and readers who are into reading YA urban fantasy and YA paranormal fiction.

Got any good recs for Urban fantasy? I've been meaning to get into that genre.

I love sci-fi fantasy although I haven't read much in those genres please hit me up with some book recommendations outside of the big ones like Lunar Chronicles or Harry Potter if you got any. :)

I am Julia und 22 years old. I've always loved reading and therefore decided to join goodreads. I am currently reading all the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare and I am in love with them!
I generally love YA books. Other favourites of mine are the Harry Potter series and the books by Simone Elkeles. I also loved the Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer.
I am looking forward to talk to you and receive some recommendations/inspo on what to read next!
Feel free to write me/add me to your friends list as I've always loved meeting new people :)

Nice meeting you all 🙂

E.S., thank you very much!

There are so many good ones!
– The Starless Sea
– American Gods
– The Ten Thousand Doors of January
– A Discovery of Witches
Those are the first ones that came to mind. They represent a pretty broad scope within the genre. If you're interested in reading an advanced reader copy of my book (The Wise One), let me know!
:-)
Hey! I just joined today. I'm trying to fall back in love with reading. After graduating, it left me in a slump.
My favourite book is Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I've been dabbling in different genres over the recent years, but I always have a soft spot for YA, especially those that involve the supernatural.

An avid reader of many, many, many genres, but with a special place in my heart for series like Hunger Games, Divergent, and some old books that would be called YA if there were such a category back then, like The Chronicles of Narnia. Neil Gaiman, Tolkien and C.S Lewis are among my favorite authors.

My favorite authors hardly match what I write: Isaac Asimov, Phillip K Dick, Andre Norton, and more recently Jonathan Stroud.

my name is anamica and I am a book reviewer and promoter. I have been addicted to reading since I was 12 and could never stop. Today, I have taken up this addiction to an extend that I promote books and authors on my social media channels as well as website with exclusive designed posts as a hobby.

Hello peeps! I'm Rachel, I just turned 16, I mostly read dystopian and history. I'm graduating next year and pursuing a Master's degree in Library Science, so I can hopefully become an awesome Librarian! :)

I am excited to be a part of being this group and reading more and more books. Falling in love with the characters and getting my heartbroken as I go *sigh".

My favourite book series' are The Divergent Series, The Chronicles of Narnia and The Maze Runner Series.

Cheers!

I've always been addicted to reading YA and writing has forever been my hobby. I'm thrilled to announce my debut novel, coming out next month:
What Cat Lost|55311558]

This contemporary romance is set two places I've lived (and loved): the mountains of Western NC and NYC.
Readers are saying:
"This book is truly a rollercoaster. Just when you think you have the plot figured out, something else unfolds. An amazing book I would strongly recommend reading!"
"Loved this book so much! Of course, I cried in it! Could not put it down! Can't wait to see what happens on Cat's journey! Hurry and write another one!"
""What Cat Lost" held my attention from the moment I read the first word. Doubly heart-warming and heart-wrenching, I genuinely felt like I could relate to the main characters as I continued to learn more about them within each chapter. Needless to say, I cannot wait for the next book!!"
"This book is a very modern day high school love story that deals with a lot of cut-to-the-bone topics that are too important not to be addressed in today’s climate. Thayer accurately creates real life situations in which constructive conversations are easily able to be created between readers."

My name is Ishaan. I'm a book lover like all of you though I also play video games and binge Netflix as well. I'm a writer as well. My debut book Son Of Mars: Origins is based on the very first human-martian superhero who goes on a journey to find the truth about his parents. I'm also writing another one set in the same universe as well as working on a thriller focusing on the duo of twin brothers.
Other than that, I go to university and study mechatronics. I play a little badminton as well.
My favorite books would be Rick Riordan's PJ series, The Martian, The Alchemist and last but not the least, Sherlock Holmes' The Sign Of Four.
I also read comic books btw. DC comics.

Hi, my names Gisel but call me Elle! I love basically any and every book except some of the one's based on facts. My favorite book is all of them! *book hug* My favorite authors are Rick Riordan, Kiera Cass, Susan Collins, and P.C Cast.

My favorite books are 'Peter Pan' by J.M. Barrie and 'the Inheritance Cycle' by Christopher Paolini, among others. I am currently working my way through the 'Red Queen' series by Victoria Aveyard, and I've started 'Phantastes' by George McDonald.

I’m not sure if I can pick a favorite author, but I have read quite a few of Cassandra Clare’s books.
My favorite book would probably have to be The Host by Stephenie Meyers because when I had a copy of it I would reread every so often. The story itself just seemed to stick with me a lot.

Fran, the Second Time Around

I'm 13. I'm an avid reader and an new author trying to complete my first draft. I'm happy to discuss about books you can message me any time and we can be friends too :)

Yes, we darker side always and I would be happy to read your book :)

I agree as well. I don't like YA that is real dark and also don't like YA that has no message to it but just like a meet cute. I recently read Jeff Garvin and liked his book The Lightness of Hands a lot. I write YA with a social action message but also a love story as I think love makes the world go round!

My daugher loves those books and also Suzanne Collins and The Book Thief.

good luck on writing your YA..I have been on the same journey..finally self published my YA books because the agents were not receptive. It is tough but worth it as books are connecting. Good luck and reach out with any questions. Happy writing.

Are you an author?
Are you an author?

We need more young readers to embrace fiction..so glad you are. The reason I am a YA writer is because I am a reader...and always have been. Being a good writer is a skill and being an avid reader expands your vocabulary and makes you so much more interesting and interested! Happy Reading.

Yes..my novels are Spoken and Crossing Lines. my website is www.melanie-weiss.com and I love writing and reading about teens and their journeys of self discovery and finding their place in the world.
