I am now getting back into reading and I'm looking to get more active on goodreads again and I thought this group would be a good place to start!
There are so many books out there that I have missed over the years that its hard to keep up or know what to look for so right now I am re-reading the Harry Potter series for the first time as an adult and I am loving it!
I am looking for recommendations on new books but I am mainly looking for some new friends to talk books with! My favorite series include Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, and Divergent to name a few...Lately I've been reading YA Contemporary but like I said I'm open to recommendations!

Some of my favorite books/series are Harry Potter (of course), Pendragon by D.C. MacHale, InkHeart, and Eragon. I actually agreed to go on the first date with my now husband following a long debate on the ending of the Inheritance Cycle (what makes a better foundation for a relationship than literature?!)
I am currently branching out to explore more adult titles written by my favorite YA authors (Rowling, Roth, and Meyer specifically), but I am most at home in the YA scene and am often reading more than one book at once.
As a side note, I also just released my own YA fiction novel, EXTANT, which you can find more about by investigating my author profile.
I love GoodReads for keeping track of my to-read list (which is constantly growing) and connecting with other readers who share the same fandom-passion for my favorite titles. Always open to recommendations!
Hobey-Ho (for my fellow Pendragon fans) and happy reading!

ROSÉ'S... BENT STEM is a suspense thriller based on true events.
Tana, a diligent, young nurse with a troubled childhood, can’t believe her luck when she finds Vikram, a rich widower who says she is the ‘love of his life’.
The strong attraction quickly turns into something else, unraveling her life. Nightmares that wrecked her childhood are back—and ripping her world apart. Evil has already claimed victims. Is it about to take another?
As the four walls of her majestic Lutyens bungalow begin to close in on her, she spirals down into a dungeon. In this twisted world with betrayal at every step, she decides not to stay miserable and becomes the person she never thought she could be. The path to escape is swarming with grisly ambushes and ... intrigue.
No one really knows what happens behind closed doors or what goes inside a person’s mind. How far will someone go to protect their secrets or to get what they want? Farther than anyone can imagine. PEOPLE ARE UNKNOWABLE.

I’m excited to join this group and read with friends. Thanks for having me!

I'm Looking forward to joining the discussions here :)

Looking forward to chatting and seeing what others are reading!

Hi, Kayla! Sounds like you have great taste. :)

oh i love eleanor and park, recently read it :)

I LOVED Harriet the Spy. I kept notebooks for a Long time after that trying to be like her. :)

I'm gradually becoming a fan of YA, making a move from adult Historical Fiction to Historical Fantasy, Historical YA. I loved "The Hunger Games," and am also a big fan of Jeff Wheeler, especially his "Harbinger" series.
I've been an avid reader all my life, especially historical fiction. When I was a child, I would lie on my bed for 3 hours and...escape!
I should mention that I am the author of 2 historical novels: "Thwarted Queen" and "Farewell My Life," unfortunately too adult in their content to be YA. My reason for joining this group is because I'm thinking of becoming a YA author. Any advice greatly appreciated!

I'm ella, I'm fourteen, and I absolutely love ya (cue the group name)
I'm fairly new to gr, and I've never been in a group before... could someone give me a how-to-group crash course? It'd be greatly appreciated haha :)
anyways, my favorite books are legend by marie lu and the hunger games by suzanne collins (pretty basic, I know, but I've been obsessed since I was twelve so they're kinda the og).
Please feel free to friend me, I love people :)

I am Aurora and I am a 13 year old obsessed with reading.
I have been part of this group from maybe a month and I still haven't read a book with the group so fingers crossed I can in January. My favorite book series are the Selection by Kiera Cass, the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, and there are a bunch more but I am too lazy right now to type them out. I think that is it so...BYE!
