Laurel Wanrow (laurelwanrow) | 4 comments Hi, I'm Laurel and though an adult (sigh), I pretty much only read YA and mostly that's YA fantasy. My long-time favorites are The Scorpio Races, Clockwork Angel & The Night Circus--which while not a YA exactly, it has a YA thread, so I count it. Favorite author is Maggie Stiefvater; I'm re-reading TRC.

message 5952: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jenniferabigayle) My name is Jenny!!! I am 20 years old and I am from Missouri, USA!! I love YA Romance (Sarah Dessen is a queen) and YA Fantasy (Mara Dyer or TRC anyone???). Please HMU and be my friend I promise I'm nice :-)

message 5953: by Jolien ♡ (new)

Jolien ♡ (vaiomo) I'm Vaiomo, however you're more than welcome to call me Jolien or Vai :D

I love reading YA and I love a magical bok with a hint of romance in it. My favourite book is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and I've read it many times now haha.

I'm originally from The Netherlands, however I live in Denmark now. I also mostly read in English. It is very veeeery unlikely that I read books in Dutch. I however do tend to sometimes try to read things in Danish just to learn the language.

I'm currently 18 years old and will be turning 19 the 2nd of October.

I hope to make some fun friends here and to talk about books :D

Just Listen is my favorite book she wrote but it’s not a fair answer because I have a million favorite books and can’t choose. Anyways, excited to be in this group to get new recommendations!

message 5967: by Katie (new)

Katie Saunders | 1 comments Hi there! My name is Katie. I am new to Goodreads but I'm excited to get started here. I am a full-time student and I work part-time for a publishing company. My favorite series to date are The Hunger Games, Hush Hush, A Song of Ice and Fire, Twilight, and The Red Queen. I was also a fan of Divergent and Fifty Shades of Grey. I never read Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, or The Cronicals of Narnia when I was a kid so I am making up for that now. Harry Potter is making a place for itself in my heart, but the main spot will always be owned by the Hunger Games and A Song of Ice and Fire. I love George R.R. Martin, Stephenie Meyer, Victoria Aveyard, and Suzanne Collins, but Veronica Roth and J.K. Rowling are pretty good too!

I love YA Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Contemporaries as well. My favorite novels are probably anything that involves Faeries just because they are amazing, lol. My favorite author is Christopher Pike. He also writes one of my favorite book series, The Alosha Series. I'm happy to be a part of this community and I can't wait to explore what novels are out there to read.

lottie ⟡ (pagesofbookishspice) | 1 comments Hi there! I'm Charlotte. I've always been such an avid reader that loves curling up to a good book every chance I get but unfortunately had to stop for a good while due to studying overload! I've been inactive for so long on Goodreads but recently started getting back in to reading as my academic year ends and recently on such a euphoric book-high! My all-time favourite author is Kelley Armstrong with her Darkest Powers series (YA) and her slightly more adult Otherworld series! My second-time favourite would be Cassandra Clare and her Shadowhunters series! I'm a massive YA fan, and love fantasy, supernatural, paranormal and primarily romance books but am always open to trying new genres.

I would really love the chance to meet more book friends to talk about all the amazing characters, stories and worlds with as it is such a huge part of who I am and what I love!

The Hunger games are mind-blowing but I can't stand the Divergent series and the Mazerunner or I am number four. I'm 21 and a college student. Anyway, glad to be a book lover and here’s to good stories waiting for us.

message 5983: by Juniper (last edited Apr 28, 2019 11:57AM) (new)

Juniper (juniperx) | 3 comments Hello friends, I'm Kat and am an avid reader who prefers reading in the company of a good cup of chai latte, hot chocolate or, since I obtained a tea boiler, tea (because they are just so handy!). I also always pack at least five novels when I travel somewhere, because having options is vital.

It's been a while since I read a lot so I'm not as à jour as I'd like to be, but I'm trying to catch up on all (some) the good reads of late. In terms of genres I appreciate everything and anything of quality, albeit with a softspot for contemporary and classic fiction, fantasy, young adult and the occasional sci-fi. It's hard to pick favourite books since there are so many, but a few I always go back to are The Night Circus, The Shadow of the Wind, The Name of the Wind and To Kill a Mockingbird. When it comes to YA I really love Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games and Unearthly (because Tucker is just wonderful).

Oh and I watch TV-series like a sponge absorbs the water in my spare time. Feel free to add me as a friend if you want to. Cheers! (:
