Hello friends, I'm Kat and am an avid reader who prefers reading in the company of a good cup of chai latte, hot chocolate or, since I obtained a tea boiler, tea (because they are just so handy!). I also always pack at least five novels when I travel somewhere, because having options is vital.

It's been a while since I read a lot so I'm not as à jour as I'd like to be, but I'm trying to catch up on all (some) the good reads of late. In terms of genres I appreciate everything and anything of quality, albeit with a softspot for contemporary and classic fiction, fantasy, young adult and the occasional sci-fi. It's hard to pick favourite books since there are so many, but a few I always go back to are The Night Circus, The Shadow of the Wind, The Name of the Wind and To Kill a Mockingbird. When it comes to YA I really love Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games and Unearthly (because Tucker is just wonderful).
