Savannah- Quad Motherin' Book Readin' Diva (quadmom2005) Hi, I'm Savannah, mom of 4 (quadruplets, 2 boys 2 girls) living in the Midwest. This genre is a bit of a guilty pleasure at my age. It just takes me back to a time where I can imagine myself in the leads position. Probably easier to do without all the stuff that bogs us down as adults.
Life has forced my love of reading to take a backseat for a while, but I'm trying to get my feet wet again, and this genre is just what I need.

message 5777: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rakling10) Hello! My name is Rachel, and I seriously spend too much time reading! I read a lot of YA, kind of because I fit the age range for it, but partly because, well, I like YA. Recently I have started to become addicted to fantasy books, although I cannot say I have an overall favorite book. I tend to read a whole bunch quickly, and then forget the details. Anyway, if anyone has any good book suggestions, I would really appreciate it!

My favorite YA authors are Marissa Meyer and Sabaa Tahir. I freak out about books way too much sometimes haha. Other genres I like are fantasy, adventure and historical fiction.
I basically enjoy almost every non-fiction genre out there as long as the book is good.
Besides reading, I like drawing and sometimes writing when inspiration hits me.

My all-time favorite book though is The Giver by Lois Lowry.

I read a lot of YA, most of it Fantasy, but I'm really trying to expand my horizons and try new things, so if you guys have any suggestions I'd love to hear them! message 5788: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne Beck Hi y’all! My name is Suzanne. I have three kiddos, two dogs, two cats, and my soulmate for a husband. I’ve lived in Texas my whole life. I am a YA paranormal romance junkie, however, I’m getting tired of the love triangles so I am hoping to get some suggestions about what to read next! I have so many favorite authors so this is probably just a small list of them. S.J. West, Alyssa Rose Ivy, Jaymin Eve, Leia Stone, Everly Frost, Tara Brown, Laury Faulter (may have spelled this one wrong), Sarra Cannon, M. Latham, Jennifer Snyder, Megg Jensen, Jessica Sorrensen, it just goes on and on. I also have this problem with using the crap out of my Kindle Unlimited, returning a book, and then I can’t remember the title, the author, any of the characters names, etc. I just remember what it was about and go on a “Googling” mission, which fails me more often than not. I’m really looking forward to seeing what y’all have read and getting some ideas for what’s next!

message 5789: by sarah (new)

sarah m ☽₊‧⁺˖⋆ Hey everyone! My name is Sarah, and I recently bumped up my reading challenge goal from 75 to 100 so I'm hoping that this group can help give me a few recommendations of books I can read to help reach it! I tend to read fantasy YA more than other genres, but lately I've been trying to try more genres like contemporary + sci-fi to help keep things from getting too stale.

I don't really have a favorite author, but my recent guilty pleasure has been Cassandra Clare's series (although tbh I 1000% prefer the show version of TMI) + I'm super excited for her future series The Eldest Curses featuring Magnus + Alec!

I'm excited to be here! It's nice to meet you all ~

Hey, thanks for the recommendations! I haven't read anything from Marie Lu yet, but I've been meaning to try and get a copy of Warcross from my library for a while. Never heard of her Legend trilogy, but I might try that as well! I actually have read The Vampire Academy series, it was one of my middle school favorites, and the The Vampire Diaries! I haven't read TVD in a while so I might've changed my mind if I read it recently, but I think I actually liked the books a bit more than the show

I hope you don't mind me adding you as a friend, but I'd love to see your review of the books! I read them a while ago so it's a little hard to remember what happened now, but it's still cool to see what other people think of my old favs!

message 5791: by Hannah (new)

Hannah VanRooyen Hey guys! My name is Hannah, I love to read, draw, and write (when I have time! I am a Physician’s Assistant with crazy hours). message 5795: by Devynn (new)

Devynn | 1 comments Hi, I'm Devynn! I currently have 7 all-time favorite books, so sadly, I really cannot pick an ultimate favorite. My favorite author is definitely Kerri Maniscalco - the author of Stalking Jack the Ripper and Hunting Prince Dracula. I joined this group because I want to read much more YA fiction but can never decide on a single book to read at a given time and totally overthink myself out of reading anything. So if anyone can send me their highly recommended, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Most of all though, i'm looking forward to meeting new people in this group and making some friends who love books as much as I do. :)

message 5797: by Marissa (new)

Marissa Keech Hi everyone,

My name is Marissa! I am currently working towards my doctoral degree and have found myself, as of the last couple years, collecting massive amounts of young adult literature. I’ve read just about everything under the sun, and am slowly going through it all so that I can update my GoodReads haha. I’ve already hit my yearly challenge but I am open to hearing what everyone is currently obsessing over!

I am sitting on the edge of my seat eagerly waiting for the final novel of the Lady Helen series! Likewise, I am trying not to self-comatose state until December when the final Dark Artifices novel is released.

Someone please hold my hand, I may not survive this wait! 😫
