BooksByDano | 12 comments Hi my name is Dano and I am from Melbourne Australia. I have just gotten out of another reading slump. I love reading all types of books but I do prefer a good YA book with a coffee or wine. I love The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare, Jennifer L Armentrout, Rick Riordan, Sarah J Maas & Jodi Picoult to name a few. I also love comics.

Beth Green (thegreenauthor) | 3 comments Hello!

I am a pediatric physical therapist and an author. I have two Christian fictions, both multiple award winners but the latest just won a YA award. I love to read and I also review books some as well. In the past few months, I've been developing a series to honor regular people on my blog just to bring more positivity to the world. I am not always a commenter but I read a lot of posts. I look forward to reading some of your comments and I may chip in occasionally! As much as I love many genres, I gravitate to YA a lot because I have four daughters (19, 21, 21, 22) that all love to read and I like keeping abreast of what they like. Thank you for having me!

Beth Green

Oops! Forgot to mention my favorite books/authors. I read a lot of Jodi Picoult and John Grisham but really loved the series YA books like the Twilight and Hunger Games books. I recently read some of Divergent and may go back and read all of those. I will also read most anything that captures me in the first few lines. Although I don't review all that I read, I try to help young authors who need feedback and/or reviews (but won't post a negative review and will just talk with them about the problem areas).

Frank Morelli (frankmorelli) | 1 comments Hi All! I'm not sure if this board is active anymore, but I figured I'd give it a try and introduce myself anyway. I've been on Goodreads for awhile, but this is one of my first groups. I'm a YA author with my debut novel, NO SAD SONGS, due out in February 2018. I look forward to reading all of your work and your reviews. And, of course, I sure hope you can find the time to visit me on my author site at frankmorelliwrites.com and/or enjoy my new novel. You can find it here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Cheers!

message 5459: by Lisanne (new)

Lisanne (imlisanne) Good day, I am Sam and I am just your next bookworm here on Goodreads. I love opening a book without having read the synopsis - it’s something I get a kick out of, entering a story without knowing what to expect, knowing any background information. I would go three chapters and suddenly find out the main character who I thought was a girl is, in fact, a boy.
I enjoy romance and young adult, and every now and then a casual fantasy series.

message 5460: by Christina (new)

Christina | 1 comments Hi, I'm Christina and books are really important to me. I love reading! My favourite book is "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I don't even know why this book, I just love it, it's simple yet touching. Sadly, I don't have a favourite author

daniela (daniela_nieblina) Hello! After a years-long book slump/reading hiatus, I rediscovered the joy of picking up a good book! I'm trying to make up for my years of stupidity (aka, only reading fanfiction) by reading as much as I can now.
YA has GROWN so much since I was in high school, and it excites me so much!
Favorite genre? Its easier to say what I don't like, honestly.
Least Favorite: Contemporary and Romance.
Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, and recently Strange the Dreamer are my favorite books.
Other than Jane Austen, I don't think I have a favorite author.

message 5492: by BoMo (new)

BoMo My name is Kat and I love reading YA books.
My favorite books are everything from the Percy Jackson universe (Rick Riordan), Harry Potter and The Darkest Powers Trilogy. I just discovered Six of Crows and I love it as well.
"Letters to the lost" isn't YA fantasy but I adore this book and can't wait to read the sequel!
I enjoy YA (Fantasy) with lots of adventures and romance, especially if it has a kick ass heroine, like Annabeth Chase, Hermione Granger, Chloe Sanders or Lark.
I really don't like instalove or love triangles, especially if they are dragging on over an entire series.

Some of my favorite YA authors are Marissa Meyer, Kiera Cass, Marie Rutkoski, Lauren Oliver, Sarah J. Maas, and Victoria Aveyard, to name a few. I do not really know anyone who reads the same books as me, so I am looking forward to meeting the community and having some good discussions!
