Introduce Yourselves HERE!

My favorite books are all ya books. Favorite authors are Veronica Roth, Richelle Mead, Cassandra Clare, Sarah J Maas, Rainbow Rowell, Suzanne Collins.

Hi Jamie, Helen here. I did a bit of home schooling myself due to my daughter not being well, it was a lot of fun during a worrying time.
Let us know what you like so we can suggest some more stuff, including some out-of-left of-field items since you're an eclectic reader.

I enjoy historical fiction, paranormal, fantasy, steampunk, classics, pretty much anything lol I'm not a big fan of romance or contemporary.

I'm a screenwriter by trade (I created the BBC action fantasy kid's show, SPIRIT WARRIORS) which stars Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones, Star Wars:The Force Awakens and Marvel's upcoming Iron Fist) and Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange, Marco Polo).
I specialise in high concept ideas so if you want monsters or dystopia starring a teen female lead, then I'm your girl. If like me, you're a geek obsessed with Buffy, then you'll probably like my work :)
I'm newly joined to GR and in dire need of some friends so do drop me a line - I'm nice, I promise!
In the meantime, happy reading! - Jo

I'm new to Goodreads, but it's awesome so far. You can drop me a line on here, on facebook.com/authorchristinabates, or my new book blog www.AdventureEpics.com
My favorite books are Stardust by Neil Gaiman and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Interesting pairing, I know. I also love Rick Riordan's books, J.K. Rowling's, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes.

Thank you for your the suggestions. The only one I have read is Holly Black. I will definitely check them out!

I'm also a photographer - mostly architecture and concerts ♥
I watch more TV Shows then movies, I collect things with Union Flag and I'm a Manchester United fan for life :D

The rustic San Francisco Bay Area countryside, the quaint small town where I grew up, and the colorful people who once lived there, have all teamed to fertilize my ever-churning mind with stories yearning to be told.
From my earliest days in high school, my English teachers saw some raw writing ability in me, both for fiction and non-fiction, and urged me to pursue my dream of being a writer. In college my creative writing professors also encouraged me to mold my ability into a talent.
After settling on a career as an environmental biologist, where I've written numerous technical publications, the stories swarming through my mind kept crying to get out. So I began writing fiction, but only as a hobby at first. I have recently finished my first novel, "BRIDGETOWN HIGH," and now I am working on a sequel. I intend to keep letting my stories out through future novels.
I am the originator and former moderator of a private critique known as “The Writer’s Pen,” a sub forum in the “Authors by Design” web site (now defunct). I am also a member of Query Tracker forum; and Children's Writer's & Illustrator's forum; Utah Children’s Writers forum; among others. In addition to my writing, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our four children and fourteen grandchildren, gardening, reading, traveling, and researching our family histories.

My favourite genre, like many others, is fantasy. Harry Potter will always be my favourite series, but there are many others that I love, such as ACOMAF and the Throne of Glass Series. Also, I really love the Six Of Crows duology and The Lunar Chronicles. As well as books, I am also a huge music lover and I look forward to joining this group!

I Love, Love, Love to read. Mainly Fantasy but I reach out to different genres when I get recommendations or hear about highly rated books and authors. Quick facts about my love for reading, I can't live knowing I didn’t finish a book and I definitely do not skip chapters (it's almost like a pet peeve for me) so no matter how bad or boring it gets I push myself to finish it all. I also have a tiny obsession with hardcover books so if you know any pretty ones let me know!

hey guys, i'm annie i'm 16 years old and i love reading. It's great to be in this group. Nice to meet you all.

I love reading because I've always found a reflection of myself in characters. I'm thankful there are people who'd like to talk with me about books. I like Cassadra Clare's books and I'm looking forward to talking to you all.

I'm Christie, been on Goodreads for a while not even knowing all these groups existed haha
Umm favourite book? Austenland by Shannon Hale or Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell or Me Before You by Jojo Moyes (I ugly cried)
Favourite author? Gillian Flynn (gone girl) is probably my fave, keeps me guessing all the way to the end
There was something else? I'm so forgetful, my head is filled with the stories I've read haha

I have started reading this summer, and i just couldn't stop.
YA books are my favorite, and some of my Favorite Authors are Sarah J Mass,Casandra Clare, Maggie Stiefvater. My favorite books are countless. Im currently reading Fire Falling. I joined this group to make friends, have a good time and fill my free time :)

I love YA but I'm an escapist so it's generally limited to fantasy, dystopian, sci-fi, etc. I really like authors like Maggie Stiefvater, Dan Wells and Anne McCaffrey.
Please add me if you think we have common interests :)

my favourite author is Cassandra Clare

Mortal Instruments was just in a class of its own, wasn't it? LOVED it. That series got me into reading again.
Hi! I'm Abby, and I enjoy YA even though I'm an old fogie :). I lean toward contemporary and dystopian YA. I keep trying with all the popular fantasy series, but I don't "get it." I loved the Hunger Games and the Anna and the French Kiss series and am hoping to star the Lunar Chronicles soon. My favorite book is Little Women, and I'm not sure I have a favorite author.

Hi, I'm Nipa Shah from Michigan. I'm a readaholic. I am also a newly minted author. Thanks for adding me to the group.Nipa Shah

5 things you may not know about me.
1. I had a child when I was very young and raised her on my own, often working multiple jobs in order to do so.
2. I am married now to a wonderful man and I have 2 beautiful children.
3. Even though I modeled when I was younger, I would guess that no one knew then that I have always been insecure about my looks.
4. My father was a life-long Air Force man who died at the age of 51 from the same condition I have recently been diagnosed with.
5. In the first grade I was awarded with the coveted title "Future Novelist" and now I can proudly say that prediction came true.
My trials, tribulations and triumphs are all a part of me. My experiences help add depth to my stories and characters. This is an exciting journey for me and I am thrilled to share my often-silent voice with you.

5 things yo..."
Congrats on your book! Must be very exciting c:

My Favorite YA books include:

My current favorite authors are:

Thanks!

Her name is Kerry Londsdale and she wrote Everything We Keep. My sister swears by The girl on the train. I'm going to read that next, have you read it? I'll check out the other authors you've recommended. Thanks

My favorite books are: 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami, Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause, and the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld.
Favorite authors include Neil Gaiman and Kelley Armstrong.
I mainly read YA, but not strictly limited to that. I cannot read things that seem too realistic though, because I lose touch with reality and often can't differentiate between what is real and not. So fantasy is my best friend.
That's enough about me, I hope to meet some nice people, and get some new and interesting book recommendations. :)
