Rachel Ok so some ppl are telling me that there isn't a 4th and others are telling me there is. And I can't find anything on the Internet about it. So, is there a 4th book of this series that is going to come out???

message 2: by Jim (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jim The official Suzanne Collins website under "works" says Mockingjay is the final installment.

Jim the cover of the book also says "the final book of the hunger games" (top banner)

Rachel Ok well I heard it's called like Dying Out or something and it's about when Katniss and Peeta are grown up with their kids and Gale gets cancer and dies............I'm not sure............

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles no. it is called a trilogy. tri= three

Rachel How can i delete this discussion?????

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles i am not sure. but it is okay, i have made senseless discussions too.

Rachel Nya wrote: "i am not sure. but it is okay, i have made senseless discussions too."

thx

Kirby Rachel wrote: "How can i delete this discussion?????"

okay, there may be an easier way, but this is all I know:

find this discussion in the list of all the other discussions (like go to this book and "see all discussions") and then to the right, there'll be an "edit" link beside any that you created. click it and it'll let you delete it.

It didn't let me, it said "Sorry, you don't have permission to delete this topic. Please ask a moderator or site admin."

Kirby I just tried to delete one of mine, and you're right! it won't let you...that's just dumb- it shouldn't act like it'll let you and then not. that sucks...

Rachel Kirby wrote: "I just tried to delete one of mine, and you're right! it won't let you...that's just dumb- it shouldn't act like it'll let you and then not. that sucks..."

How do you not have permission to delete YOUR OWN DISCUSSION???

Kirby I don't know! do you think it would only let you delete it if no one else had commented on it? I just don't understand why they'd have a link to delete it if you can't...

Kirby I just tested it- you can delete it if no one has commented on it...

Rachel Well I think ppl commented on my discussion.

Owen If there is a 4th book I won't read it since the 3rd was so unbelievably awful. It's the Godfather Part III of the series that I wish I had never read.

message 21: by Sam (new) - rated it 2 stars

Sam i don't think so.

David The story does not lend itself to any more books. Plus, whenever I've seen Mockingjay, it's always been titled something like "Mockingjay, the final book of the Hunger Games trilogy" etc.

It would perhaps be nice for Suzanne Collins to create a prequel, detailing the events surrounding the Dark Days, and the rebellion which led up too it.

Rachel WE ALREADY ESTABLISHED THAT THERE AREN'T ANY MORE BOOKS AND I WANT TO DELETE THIS DISCUSSION.

P.S. I AM NOT YELLING, THE CAPS IS FOR GETTING YOUR ATTENTION.

THANK YOU

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles i agree with rachel, if it is her discussion, it is her right to do and say what she wants.

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles You are quite welcome! people just dont understand that.

Rachel Nya wrote: "You are quite welcome! people just dont understand that."

Agreed. And it's Goodread's fault for not letting me delete my discussion.

David You could edit your first post to say that the topic is over and covered. That would end further replies or discussion of the topic.

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles But that wouldn't prevent people from commenting.

Kirby does anyone know how to contact the goodreads people, for issues like this one?

Rachel Nya wrote: "But that wouldn't prevent people from commenting."

True.

Rachel Kirby wrote: "does anyone know how to contact the goodreads people, for issues like this one?"

Good question.

Kayley that is so stupid!!! you can't delete your own convo?! whats next you can't add your own books!!!! lol just kidding

message 34: by Dee (new) - rated it 3 stars

Dee and yet you never acknowledged that someone, a fan, did write a 4th - which answered your original question...

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't think so but I would love if Suzanne Collins did a spin off story about either Cato or Rue before they were chosen as tributes. I would pay for it!

Rachel Dee wrote: "and yet you never acknowledged that someone, a fan, did write a 4th - which answered your original question..."

I don't want to read a book written by an amature. I want the real deal, not a fake.

David Every author was once an amateur.

BubblesTheMonkey No. As far as I have heard.

message 39: by Dee (new) - rated it 3 stars

Dee ahh, but that is not what you said...you asked if there was a 4th book to which I replied, someone had written a fanfiction version. lots of authors started out doing fanfiction, Cassandra Clare is a popular one right now

Vassi Dee, I so enjoyed the fan fiction, and I found it here, in this topic, so thanks from me for posting it

Rachel Sara :) wrote: "No there isn't a fourth book. Mockingjay was the last one in this trilogy that's why it's called a trilogy it only has three books."

We already answered my question. This discussion is closed basically. If you read the comments above you would know that.

rai ♡ I really doubt there's gonna be a fourth book, though that'd be cool. Maybe there'll be the start of a new series, with different characters, in the same world or in a similar situation.

message 44: by Olivia (new) - added it

Olivia If there was a fourth book i think it should be from the perspective of the kids. Wouldnt that be cool!?

rai ♡ Really? I mean it's not a bad idea, but what would be so interesting about that? You know it's all about the love triangles today.
