Moloch | 3975 comments I was adding this Kindle edition,

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

which has both an ASIN code (B00652HWPS) and an ISBN (9788858405208), but how do you add them both? I find that, on the edit book page, if I click on "click for ISBN" and then go back to the ASIN, the ASIN has disappeared, and vice versa.

Now if someone searches this ISBN there are no results.

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments IF it is a kindle edition then use the ASIN.

Its my understanding that kindles do have / can have ISBN's but amazon suppress them in favour of the ASIN

Leandro Dutra (lfcd) | 3 comments I disagree. ISBNs are the standard, and come even in many Kindle books’ pages. They should always be preferred.

lethe | 16368 comments It is GR policy to use ASINs on Kindles. ASIN and ISBN should not be used together.

Bea My observation is that if an ISBN is used on a "Kindle" book, it is labelled an ebook, not Kindle. If the ASIN is used, it is labelled Kindle.
