There's several different things it could be about. It's a very confusing movie. So I googled it to see what it's about and it said it was about the Monarch program. The Monarch program was a government controled mind control system used in the 1960's. The victim has to be able to dissociate, which is like building up a seperate world in your mind that has a loose tie to reality. The movie is all about how Babydoll, the main character, dissociates. Babydoll is sent to a "mental institution" which is really a place where they experimented mind control on the victims, or "patients". Babydoll dissociates and they are in a dancing place instead of the place she was being tortured. Then within the dissociation, she dissociates again and is in a battlefield place where she has to fight to obtain 4 things to be able to escape. And she is actualy trying to escape the mental institution with some other girls in real life. Anyway, it's a reeaally confusing movie. You should watch it. Sorry this post is so long.
