Do you ever have that when you think you might like a book? So you read reviews & find out stuff... THEN YOU REALIZE READING REVIEWS SAVED YOUR LIFE!
I did not read Born at Midnight (Shadow Falls, #1)... Thank my lucky stars. It sounds worse than Twilight... There's 5 books of it. Not just a saga...
Lucas is a werewolf. He sounds like a Gary-Stu of the Lucas in Dark Heart... Would you write a book with a guy who is an idealized version of another's book character? Would you? I've not read it so I don't know. Which is why I'm not full-rant yet...

(view spoiler)[The rant is about the fact all reviews that are bad seem to mention slut-shaming. Outruling a book because of that? I don't think I would. It's sort of good if there are books which do it... Because at my school some of the kids who are in their first year act more mature than their age. In a bad way. I think they need to read stuff that shames sluts- not because I hate sluts- but because that will help change them. It's not everyone, but it's seriously better to read about it than have guys (such as ones in my year) think they can advantage of you because you are younger.
And in a way, it's like people want books which promote it. If I'm way off the mark, sorry, but it isn't a bad thing to be shamed.
I can think of stuff that is shamed which people think is OK that it is shamed. I would be more frustrated that they seem to think being different is a bad thing. No, the worse thing is when a child thinks:
I can't be different. I must be in the norm... I see. All those older girls are so mature. I'll be normal, like them.
Then it just goes downhill.

Incase you can't realize, I think it's a waste of a hyphen, putting those words together. Bleh.

Disclaimer: NOT supporting the books purpose. If that's the reason, it's bad. But having disapproval in a book? That's OK.

I read reviews to give myself an idea. I've read reviews that made the book sound amazing and it was total crap. I like to give a book a chance and read it. I respect everyone's review we like and dislike certain things in our life
