Monica Stoddard I was wondering if anyone knew why the red pills dont work on Ky & Xander.

Samantha They are immune. I don't think it says why they don't work on them.

Alright, thank you :)

Jailah because ky is not from that same place and he might have taken them so many time that he might be immune to them

Allison I have a feeling their immunity is going to be discussed in-depth in the final book because it gets mentioned multiple times and even Cassia thinks it's peculiar.

This is just a stab in the dark, but I have a feeling they're something in common between the two that makes them immune. Possibly a family connection?

Dee i wonder if they are like a placebo...people think they are going to do whatever, so they are convinced that they work - by Ky and Xander don't believe in them so they don't

Maybe. Like when you give someone sugar but they think it's medicine, it makes them better.

Dee yeah that's what I was thinking...in this case, its a placebo that makes everything "ok" and they have been so indoctorinated into it by the government that they don't know any better

Hannah There is just some kind of werid thing in them and it doesn't work sometime things like that do hapen

Becca I guess it has to do with the Rising. The author mentioned something in book 2 around the idea. Maybe there were some experiments on the immune ones (Ky, Xander, Indie and others) sometime in the past, don't u think? We'll have to wait till the final book comes out.

Anna Your right, never noticed that. It is sort of a big plot hole. I hope she adresses it in the next book.

Beth ~Mrs.SheldonCooper~ They're boys! What do you think. Maybe they're strong enough that the red tablets don't work. Boys are boys?

But that doesn't explain why Xander is immune!
