Alessandra | 108 comments Regarding the book, Italian Paintings in the Museum of Fine Arts Boston Volume 1: 13th - 15th Century at http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

The "Other edition" without a cover image seems to be the same as the regular paperback edition, except its isbn is given as 0878464077 instead of 0878464677.

I have the book physically in front of me, and the 677 isbn is correct.

I believe the other record is from a mistyping somewhere along the way.

Is there a graceful way to remove the incorrect book?

vicki_girl | 2764 comments I tested the two ISBN's using the following link:

The 677 ISBN is not valid. My guess is that the book got printed with a bad ISBN (probably a typo). It was caught at some point and later printings had the ISBN corrected to the 077 ISBN. Also, the 077 ISBN is listed on worldcat, indicating that it does exist:

I would keep both. :)

Alessandra | 108 comments Wow. So the 077 is the correct ISBN, but the 677 is what got printed?

Okay, yes, keeping both makes more sense than removing one or the other.

I guess mistakes can happen anywhere. Thanks for checking it out.
