Kasi Blake (kcblake) | 5 comments Back when I was writing for Harlequin, I found a story online about a woman who got tossed from the her gym for reading my book, Borrowed Identity. It was stupid because the cover wasn't sexy or anything. It simply had a picture of a bride in her gown and a man with his back to the camera. They weren't even touching. A man who worked at her gym told her she wasn't allowed to read that 'sort' of book there because it was a 'family' place. Poor woman was just trying to read while on the treadmill. She got mad and left. I'll never forget that story. Why did it have to be my book?

Kate (kateperegrinate) That's horrible! I hope she finally got an ereader so she could read whatever she wanted without anyone seeing the cover!

I've never been one who can read and exercise at the same time -- at least not while using an elliptical, treadmill or stair climber. I must bob up and down too much because I never could focus on the page.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 78 comments I wish they would try to throw me out of a gym for reading. I read all the time on the elliptical (or at least I did).

Harlequin Books (harlequinbooks) | 50 comments Reading while exercising is what makes it worth it. Well, maybe the weight loss and becoming fit plays part but for me it is the quiet reading time. :)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 78 comments I think reading while exercising makes the time go by faster.

Kasi Blake (kcblake) | 5 comments It was dumb because the cover has nothing sexual on it. When I was reading the story, I was thinking 'why did it have to be my book?'

On second thought, I wish the woman had gotten so mad that she went on television and it was picked up by a national show. I'd be famous now. lol

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 78 comments Yeah, that would be great publicity!
