After a few of the comments in the BIG giveaway about not having eReaders, I wondered how many people avoid entering drawings for e-copies because they think they can't read them anyway. It made me sad 'cause so many are being published in eBook only these days, and these readers are missing out on some wonderful stories. :O(

LOL Great info! I've often wondered why it's not so widely known. I WRITE e-books and I'm using the free kindle ap from Amazon to read on my laptop!
Me too, Derrolyn! I don't even own a Kindle. When I respond to emails from people who are interested in my book but don't have Kindles, I always let them know about the free apps on Amazon.
My current eBook library contains over 260 titles and I use Kindle for PC. I will own a Kindle one day, I'm sure, but for now, this works just fine for me. :O)
Same here... I can see how a smaller device might come in handy if you travel a lot or commute, but I can curl up on my couch just fine with my trusty puter. :)
Thanks Jaimey! I own an e-reader but this is still a great idea. I don't always have my kindle with me.Darcy
I thought I'd bump this topic for any new members who might not be aware of the free reading apps offered by Amazon and B&N. The links to the apps are in the original comment at the top of this page. :O)
I have both nook and kindle. But I still have the apps on my iPhone and my computer. They are great to have if don't have a e-reader or if you forgot it at home.

If you have a PC or laptop that runs ubuntu instead of Windows, you can use the Kindle Cloud Reader.
As far as availability in other countries goes, I'm under the impression that these apps work anywhere, though book availability will vary from country to country. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
Hope this helps!
