Liz M 10.1 - Square Peg
Read a book that does not fit any of the other Reading with Style 10 or 20-point tasks.
This task cannot be repeated .

10.2 - Space Out
In celebration of First Contact Day (April 5th), the day Vulcans establish first contact with humanity, and Towel Day (May 25th), a day when fans carry a towel with them to demonstrate their love for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Read a book that features space travel.

10.3 - Girls’ Names
Two of the months in this season, April and May are commonly used as names for baby girls. Read a book with a feminine name in the title. For names gender neutral names (Bobby, Chris, Sam), the book qualifies if the name in the title refers to a female.

10.4 - It's Your Birthday
In celebration of the birthdays of the following children’s book authors: Dr. Seuss – March 2, Kenneth Grahame – March 8, Hans Christian Andersen – April 2, Beverly Cleary – April 12, J. M. Barrie – May 9, , L. Frank Baum – May 15, and Margaret Wise Brown – May 23, read a work on the classic children's literature list (grade 7 and higher).

10.5 - Rooting for the Bad Guy
Read a book featuring an anti-hero on the linked page, from the top 75 of this list, OR the top 50 of this list

10.6 - The Music of the Soul
In honor of National Poetry Month, read a book of poetry, a work of epic poetry, OR a novel in verse.

10.7 Rebekah's task - Reading is Awarding
The National Book Critics Circle Award is announced March 8, The Pulitzer Prizes are announced April 16, and The Pen/Faulkner Award is announced May 5. Read a book that has won one of these awards:
NBCC (winners only, not the finalists)
Pulitzer (winners only, not the finalists, for the categories under "Letters, Drama, and Music", excluding music).
Pen/Faulkner (winners only, not the finalists)

10.8 Rosemary's task - It's a Family Affair
In honor of the many birthdays her family celebrates in March, April and May, Read a book whose title contains one of the following words:
family, mother, father, husband, wife, brother, sister, twin, son, daughter, child, parent, aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew. Plurals are acceptable, as is any of the words preceded by 'great', 'grand' or 'step'.

10.9 Karen's task - "Please Sir, I want some more"
Read another book by an author you enjoyed reading for the Winter Challenge. If you did not participate in the Winter challenge, you can use any author you read during December, January or February. You may repeat this task, but must use a different author each time. This task cannot be used as combo points.

Liz M 20.1 - In honor of The Tattered Cover, a Denver store that refused to turn over sales information to the police and won a case in the Colorado Supreme Court on first amendment grounds, Read a Banned Book. When claiming points, you must provide a reference detailing where and when the book was banned.

20.2 - In honor of True Colors, the oldest independent feminist bookstore in North America, Read a Book that was nominated for the Orange Prize or one of the 100 Great 20th Century Works of Fiction by Women.

20.3 - In honor of Harvard Bookstore, a family-owned bookstore serving the Cambridge area since 1932, Read a Harvard Top Seller.

20.4 - In honor of El Ateneo bookstore, a bookshop converted from an old theatre in downtown Buenos Aires, Read a Book that has been made into a movie.

20.5 - In honor of Shakespeare and Co, whose first incarnation was both an epicenter of the "lost generation” as well as the original publisher of Ulysses, and whose second incarnation was frequented by many Beat Generation writers, Read a Book that was originally published in the 1920s OR was originally published in the 1950s.

20.6 - In honor of Selexyz Bookstore, a dutch bookstore located inside a refurbished Dominican church dating from 1294, Read a Novel that has a religious figure as the main character OR a non-fiction book about religion (Dewey decimal numbers: 200-299).

20.7 - In honor of Kid’s Republic book store in Beijing, which carries over 4000 titles from Europe, America, Japan and China and is devoted to the development of international citizens, Read an internationally acclaimed book from this list.

20.8 - Kate S's task - It's alphabetic
Read a book whose title or author has three consecutive letters in alphabetical order (i.e. fiRST; DEFoe; lAB Coat).

20.9 - Elizabeth (Alaska)'s task - It's epidemic
In 1925, mushers and their dog teams rushed diptheria serum to epidemic threatened Nome. Every March, the Iditarod Dog Sled Race is held to commemorate this historic event. Read a book in which a main plot point is an epidemic.

20.10 - Liz M's task - It's academic
Read a book whose author is currently a faculty member of a college or university.
