Bree This doesn't feel like the end of the world

message 302: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 20, 2012 09:18PM) (new)

No, although my friends are partying today just in case. Apparently the world is ending at 10:11pm today... so..... There's still about 6 hours till anything happens, if anything is going to happen.

message 303: by Bree (new)

Bree Hahaha very precise. 10:11pm.

It was great!!! I went and saw some fireworks at harbourside and they were so close!!! Gosh, it felt as though the fireworks were going to fall on me. But yeah, Sydney was great!!!!

message 309: by Bree (new)

Bree Hahaha yeah the fireworks are so amazing! i went into the city for the new years and the fireworks were literally so close to us as well haah :) glad you had a great time! did you go to centre point tower?

message 312: by [deleted user] (new)

Heeeeeyyyyy!!! Feel free. :)

Anyways, I haven't been to centre point tower. What is it?

message 313: by Bree (new)

Bree Oh, its just the tallest tower in Sydney and at the very top is this restaurant...but the best thing is that it rotates! so you get to see the whole of the city and you get multiple views hahaha its the best! but the thing to remember is to not place your handbag on the side cause when the restaurant rotates your bag goes along with it and people just see your bag moving along the side sketchily.....

message 314: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 14, 2013 01:27PM) (new)

So it's kinda like a rotating version of the Eureka Tower?

Hahahaha... Handbags. But yeah, I haven't been. Sounds awesome though. Maybe I'll wait a few years and drag some friends down to Sydney. I highly doubt I'll be able to go with my family because my brothers and my mother has a fear of heights. Sigh...

You guys live in Australia? I do too!!! XD

+ I do believe I win...

message 316: by [deleted user] (new)

Yup. Australia. Do you know what I find wierd? The fact that there seems to be this idea that Australia is some desert place where there are crocodiles and kangaroos everywhere. Wierd...

message 317: by Bree (new)

Bree Hahahha oh my god!!! When I went to America I convinced many people that we ride kangaroos to school and emus to work. And we exchange boomerangs to show respect hhahahaha the last one was for the gullible ones.

message 318: by [deleted user] (new)

haha, yep. You should've also told them that koalas deliver our post. ;P

(Apparently some of my friends went to America and told people that koalas deliver the post.)

It'd be cool to ride a kangaroo though... or an emu. I've always wanted to see a boxing kangaroo.

message 319: by Bree (new)

Bree Hahha oh yeah!!! How could've that slip my mind hahaha

Yeh although emus and kangaroos kinda freak me out.

message 320: by [deleted user] (new)

Big animals in general scare me. Emus and kangaroos just happen to fall under that category as well... actually, koalas kinda scare me as well.

message 321: by Bree (new)

Bree Yeh koalas totally creep me the hell out. With all their munching on gum leaves and then their staring at you while they're eating and it looks like they are plotting your demise....I'm kinda paranoid about koalas not that you could tell or anything.....

message 322: by Lissa (new)

Lissa (lissa99) I know, me too. By the way, did you know that koalas stink? My sister and I got to hold one when we went to the Australian Zoo (crikey!!! - just had to put that in there) a few years ago. In 2009 I also got to hold a baby wallaby, it was pretty cute.

message 323: by Bree (new)

Bree Hahaha yeh koalas are pretty smelly but that isn't really a surprise hahahaha ;)

message 324: by Lissa (new)

Lissa (lissa99) Teehee, I don't suppose it is :)
