Absolutely! I also wore fingerless, lace gloves, with my eagle feather hairdo. Not sure what planet I was on. :0

A bit about me:
~I love music, especially forms of Punk. <3
~I'm fairly perky for a punky goth... and sadly, nothing para about my looks, not allowed to till i'm fucking 18. -.-
~Word of warning: I try to be respectful and open-minded, but the cost is, I swear. A lot. <3
~I'm all for wearing black; I wear something black everyday, and always have to have black nails.
~I'd love to get to know y'all. <3
Welcome to the group Rachel :) and I know how you feel, I'm 19 and still not allowed to wear black nail polish :(
I missed your intro, Rachel. Sorry! Hi and welcome. Love punk too. I grew up on it. Also share the swearing bit. But I'm an Australian, certain words aren't even considered swear words, just part of the language. :):) Gina.

Good... xP I've had ot curve my swearing for many groups I joined. And lol that's awesome~! :D

WOW. xD MY grandma doesn't like black, but she's the one who painted my nails. :p
I shudder to think of what kind of parent I'd have been at 16. 'Kid, what kid? Oh, yeah...I think I left her somewhere...' :O

The young years should be spent living, loving and learning (IMO). Kids are a HUGE responsibility. And yep, my weed habit was massive as a teenager and I liked nothing more than rum for breakfast. I can't remember eating much and I certainly didn't sleep. Wow, my poor body had a hard time keeping up with my lifestyle.

Yes, lots of patience is needed with a baby. Especially in the first few weeks! Wow, it's trying, no matter how besotted you are. Sleep deprivation doesn't help. When I gave birth to my first child I thought love would fix all. It came as a bit of a shock that babies cry no matter what. I had been in labour for over twenty hours (posterior birth). My body felt like it had been dragged over a mine field. I was getting a few hours sleep a night. Yep, soon lost my naivety. No way I was ready for it in my teens!
Excuse spelling mistakes, just edited, but there are sure to be more. :)

No, I wasn't the type to coo at other people's babies either. I'm a tigress when it comes to protecting mine of course. I got angry with the sun for shining too strongly on my daughter as we drove home from the hospital. Mind you the long labour may have slightly unhinged me at the time :)
Nothing ever is picture book perfect is it? Life is far more like a Grimm's fairy tale than a Disney.
Congrats Jaq's daughter!!

Umm. I'm not really sure what to say. I'm 18, from a little tiny town in NY. I have a lot of different "cliches" in me (hippie, nerd, freak, etc), but they all have the goth side. My favorite color is black, no joke. I enjoy the darker side of things. I'm into all things paranormal and supernatural. Music, reading, and writing are my life. I'm a bisexual chic, currently in a relationship with a dude.
I would love to be involved in this group. However, I start college classes today, so if I should disappear for a little bit, please forgive me.
Thanks!
Hi Hiddenheart, great to have you with us. :):)

My stories all featuring a menacing old house and seriously inclement weather. Some are psychological thrillers. Some feature supernatural elements. Most of my work features grim characters in dread circumstances, faced with adultery, incest, mental illness, murder, and more.
I consider myself an Old School Goth. My generation grew up with the phenomenal afternoon soap opera, Dark Shadows, which has had a lasting influence on my work.
Greetings Ev'ryone! My name is Chris and I write Gothic paranormal erotica and romance. So glad to cross paths with the group! PEACE & HOWLZ! \m/

On the reading side of things, I like books that show demons and angels for what they are (infernal or righteous immortal beings possessing incomprehensible power), and I'm not a fan of a lot of current fiction that humanizes and/or portrays them as weak, love-struck, emotionally confused or just plain bummed out. I know other authors/readers feel differently, but it's all good. There are so many of us, so the whole spectrum is complete :-)
I'm not particularly gothic per se, but I have almost two dozen tattoos, wear a lot of black, and pretty much only listen to extreme metal. I suppose the average person would consider me goth but I know that I'm really not. I dig me some gothic literature and movies though :-)

Though I have to admit goth is not my favorite music genre (but it's great for summery happy times), basically everything else regarding my lifestyle can be considered goth.
Does anyone have Tumblr? lol

Goodness me have I been busy! Terribly sorry for not welcoming everyone as they joined! D:

The Gothic Rainbow

Annwn's Maelstrom Festival

As a consequence of my rash thinking, you can imagine my unease when my novel, OULANEM, recently came out. It is the completion of a fragment left by the very young Karl Marx (19) before he became the one we all know. Very gothic--full of bombastic speeches, villains and bumblers, distressed damsels. In my hands, it is a novel of revenge, laudanum addiction, and sexual intrigue--extending Marx's intentions and style, I believe. You might take a look at it and give me some feedback.
