Samara So here's my completed 50 list. I'll be curious to see how many more I can read throughout December. Although at times didn't know if I was going to complete this, the group pushed me to choose a lot more reading over TV this year. I got back to loving reading again after a couple years of indifference. The site also pushed me to try some new books/authors that I never would have picked up otherwise (mostly due to the 1001 books list). Anyway, here it is:

6. The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen (Syrie James)
7. My Favourite Good-bye (Sheila O'Flannagan)
8. Remember Me? (Sophie Kinsella)

23. The Friday Night Knitting Club (Kate Jacobs)
24. Water For Elephants (Sara Gruen)
25. Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Lewis)
26. The Silver Chair (Lewis)
27. Angels (Marian Keyes)
28. This Charming Man (Marian Keyes)
29. How Will I Know? (Sheila O'Flanagan)

Samara 51. Dead Until Dark (Charlaine Harris)
The first in the Sookie Stackhouse series, which I started after falling in love with the TV series True Blood. The first is enjoyable although a lot has been covered by the show, so onto the next one...

Samara 52. Living Dead In Dallas (Charlaine Harris)
The series is getting even better and I'm starting to like Eric more than Bill... lol

Samara 53. Club Dead (Charlaine Harris)
Ok, I'm officially hooked and can't put these down. They are definitely pure fluff, but good fluff, which is exactly where my brain is at right now.

message 5: by Jane (new)

Jane Wow Samara! I can't believe you were able to get Anna Karenina in there. That book is long! Don't get me wrong, it's good but it's certainly a committment.

message 6: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) I agree with Jane! I tried reading this book earlier in the year but decided to hand it back to the library as there was no chance of me finishing it while I was studying for my exams - really, it should count as at least four books because of the length! Well done :)

Samara Thanks Jane & Rachel. It took me the better part of the year to read AK, as I would read 100 pages or so and then switch to something lighter in between. Then work took a hold of my life for a couple months, but I'm glad that I was able to finish it this year. It was my first attempt at any of the Russian literature and I enjoyed it.

Samara 54. Dead to the World (Charlaine Harris)
I love, love, love Eric! This one is the best of the series so far, I can't put them down! Can't wait until the new season of the show comes out, next summer is long ways away...

Samara 55. Dead as a Doornail (Harris)
56. Definitely Dead (Harris)
What can I say? I'm addicted....

Samara 57. All Together Dead (Harris)
58. Monsters of Templeton (Lauren Groff)
59. The Pillars of the Earth (Ken Follett)
60. World Without End (Ken Follett)

Both Follett's books were pretty awesome, I zoomed through both in a week! That's what happens when I actually have time to read (yea holidays!!) I think the next one will be on my 2009 list, can't wait to start anew.

message 11: by Lisa Julianna (new)
