I am currently reading the book Off Season, written by Anne Rivers Siddons. Off Season is about women named Lily who goes back to her childhood vacation spot and retells her memories. Her childhood vacation spot is in Edgewater, Maine. It is on the water, and has multiple beaches, and cliffs. This allows Lilly to tell the reader about her various adventures throughout the terrian. Lilly loved to go to Edgewater when she was young, because she loved to explore the surroundings, and play with friends, however as the story goes on and she gets older the reader starts to hear less and less about the setting, because she is starting to grow up and away from her same childhood likings. As I am nearing the end of the book, and Lily stops looking back at her previous vacations the setting comes into play again. It comes back because she is trying to reconnect with her childhood, instead of get away from it like she did in her teens. I have been enjoying reading, Off Season and hope to finish it.
