Gwen 9781933615332 is The Best of America's Test Kitchen 2009: The Year's Best Recipes, Equipment Reviews, and Tastings (Best of America's Test Kitchen Cookbook: The Year's Best Recipes)

and

9781933615196 is The Best of America's Test Kitchen 2008: The Year's Best Recipes, Equipment Reviews, and Tastings

These are different books but share the same listing.

Thanks!

Kim | 607 comments It looks like a bit of work needs to be done on these two "authors"

Amanda | 2442 comments I got the first two separated.

Gwen It looks like all of the Cook's Illustrated Annual editions are listed as being the same book as well. I assume the same will be true when I get to the Cook's Country Annuals.

Thanks for sorting this stuff out.

Kim | 607 comments From what I've read now those all need to be combined back together. Annual publications are not separated.

Gwen Interesting - thank you for the links. I apologize for causing more work than necessary.

I would think these would fall under the same exception as the annual anthologies. I can't imagine there is much duplication between years in the content.

Kim | 607 comments But things like Guinness Book of Records, which also varies quite a lot year to year, are combined. Anthologies aren't explicitly exempt though, they're just less likely to be combined. I'd still say all these annual cookbooks should be combined.

Gwen For what it's worth, there is zero duplication of information in these volumes. They are more like individual books in a series than editions of a text book.

vicki_girl | 2764 comments I would say that if there is zero duplication then they should be separated, the same way we separate anthologies, but that's just my opinion.

message 12: by Paula (new)

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments I would agree - if the book is published annually with completely different content it is not the same book. They are not new editions i.e. 4th edition

Gwen For what it's worth, the Cooking Light Annuals (exact same concept, different magazine) are all listed as separate books.
