Cliff Ball (cliffball) | 21 comments Times of Trouble a Christian fiction novel is my newest novel, my 6th overall.

FBI Agent Brian Atwood is used to danger, and when he hunts down leads to a terrorist plot and saves a U.S. Airbase, he's eventually offered a position to be the personal bodyguard of the President of the United States. The job not only tests his skills as an agent, but also his faith as a Christian when he discovers that the President has the morals of an alley cat. As Brian tries to come to terms with doing his job and having to look the other way, his world begins to crumble. His wife is dying of cancer and his son was taken away by the government because he has Down's Syndrome. What else can go wrong? As the End Times approaches and the U.S. disintegrates into chaos, Brian must try to save his family.

Cliff Ball (cliffball) | 21 comments I just received a new review (my 2nd) this morning on Amazon, 3 stars. The reviewer took issue with the characters stockpiling weapons and food, but enjoyed the novel overall.

"I consider myself a born again Christian and I enjoyed certain parts of the book very much. Brian praying and carefully making choices and choosing to let his child live against the laws of the country was admirable.

I don't agree with stockpiling weapons to fight people who are desperate for money and supplies. I believe as Christians we are to share our resources that God has so bountifully supplied to us with others who need them to show our reliance on God's giving. This in turn may bless others.

Even though I had some difficulty with some of the actions I overall enjoyed the book. Thank you for such a thought provoking read!"

Jeffrey (chiklitmanfan) Cliff: I remember 'Y2K' and remember the fear and craziness that event spawned back in 1999. I'm also a Christ-follower and told everyone back then that I'd share what I stock-piled if those in need just asked. However, I also warned that if anyone tried to take anything I owned by force or threaten my family they would get nothing but a bullet hole or two.

Cliff Ball (cliffball) | 21 comments My parents were ones who also stockpiled for Y2K, at least water anyway since they lived off of a well, but I thought it nuts since as Christians, they should've realized Christ would take care of us no matter what. With that said, my parents, now retired, are gearing up for what the gov't might do over the next few months, while I write about what might happen....
