I so wish I could re-read with you guys lol. I love this book. I will just join in the discussion since I've read it so many times I know pretty much it all LOL
Well, I decided to read this one first simply because it's had me really intrigued every time I've spotted it mentioned around the 'Net. But I'll certainly be reading the Half Blood pretty soon after, too. :o)
oh yea this was the first JLA book I read and it made me love her books so much. I already had Half-Blood and I loved Obsidian so much I read Daimon and Half-Blood straight after.
I've requested an ARC of Onyx so I have my fingers crossed.
Psst, when you get the books, look in the front. My quote is in there. ::happy dance::

Right, my reading slate has been cleared for the moment. My loaned copy of Obsidian is here. I'm ready to roll.
Checking in. Read a little last night. Read some more this morning. I'm on page 99. I've giggled a lot. Smiled even more. Scowled a fair bit, too. On top of those, the dude is confusing the heck out of me and I'm not even Katy, lol.
I see the awesomeness even though he attempts to keep it hidden beneath his assery. Though I'm pretty sure I'd have decked him by now (or tried to).

Yes he does. I love Obsidian so much, it's brilliant.
I would have punched him though if I was Katy for acting like such an ass lol

I was too. It was the first JLA book I read and I got it for review and I was like hmm aliens? I hadn't read many alien books before and didn't really think I would like it but I loved it and it turned out to be my favourite book of last year.
After that I read Daimon and Half-Blood and JLA is now my favourite author. I love her

I haven't read ANY alien books. I didn't even know it was about aliens till I added it to me list yesterday, lol. What I'm liking is the tone of the written voice. Too many YA novels sound YA, like the author has felt the urge to over simplify because of the younger audience. I think it adds a unique quality when the author gives the younger readers a little credit and writes a little maturity into her prose.
Yes definitely. I love her writing style I think she's an amazing author.
I just wanna read it again now LOL

hehehe, weell, I'm reading again now--see how far I can get before the guilt kicks in and I realise I should be working, lol.
Okay, I've hit page 158 and I really need to get some work done now or I'm never going to hit my deadlines and then I'll be in trouble. :o)
You ARE a bad influence, lol. But I spent the entire weekend reading and then Monday, and then Tuesday with only a couple of blog posts getting written and a few hundred words added to a couple of stories. My head's been all over the place since Christmas and every time I try to get my act together I end up inside another book, hehehe.
Mostly. There have been some serious humdingers. It just feels so satisfying to find one you immediately sink into. :o)
Well, it would appear I have ZERO will power because I've finished already. Just couldn't help myself. Dude! I haven't enjoyed a book this much in ages. Thank you sooooo much, Kay.
It's pretty awesome, for sure. Now I can go into that thread with the scene from Daemon's pov without squinting in case I spot a spoiler, lol.
Ok I started this last night and I'm hooked. I'm home from work today with a sick daughter so Im sure I will get more reading in while she is resting.
Sorry your daughter's sick, but yay for more reading time. I'm not surprised you're hooked--it's just that kind of read. :o)
Thanks. I hate when the kids are sick but it normally means a lot of sleep to get better. I can read and get up as needed so its ok. I think she just has a little bug.

So, starting next week (when my books come), who else fancies buddy reading Obsidian with Shieka and me?
