Seems odd, doesn't it? How much more prolific does a story about video games and 80s pop need to be? If they do make a movie of it I am sure it will concentrate more on special effects than story anyways.
(Ha ha! I didn't realize that he wrote the screenplay for Fanboys. Funny!)
