Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments It's starting already! You can keep it temporarily at bay by eating Fat Frog ice lollies...

Are you biting your nails?

message 254: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments No, I'm biting yours! Look down at your hands.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I looked. you got me, darn it!

message 256: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I've just looked at what part of the story 47% is. Meh. That bit's "okay."

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Kaboom!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments 76% - hey! stop chewing my fingers! I need them to turn the pages...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ouch! You do realise I have all sorts of fungal foot diseases....

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Jim - a small bit of advice. Your profile on Amazon is completely empty. Put something in it - the more the better. People will click on it and try and foind out something about you. It is a good marketing tool as you can put in links to a website or blog and set up a list with your books in it. At least put up a profile picture of some kind...

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Fungus adds flavour.

Yes, I will do, thanks. I have an Amazon author central profile you can get to from the book page. Didn't realise I'd need yet another stinking profile. Sigh.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I know - I have an author page as well, although there is very little on it, and I don't see any way of linking the two.

message 264: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments You do? Cool. What have you written?

"Dungeons & Typos: An Adventure In Pian"

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Pian??

I only have 1 short story in an anthology and 1 poem in the group book, so I barely qualify as an author.

message 266: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Cool, give us a read?

Pian. Pain. It's a typo. Too subtle, for ya?

message 267: by Gingerlily - The Full Wild (last edited Feb 10, 2012 11:12AM) (new)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Well the anthology is Re Awakenings, an anthology of Speculative Fictionand my story is the last one.

The group book is A Goodreads Gallimaufrey. It was put together by Ignite and has some very cool stuff from our group members. And my poem.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh and I did get the typo thing. I just like playing dumb.

message 269: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Oh yeah, "playing". Got ya.

Riiiiiight.

message 270: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Oh, and cool - I shall probably pickup that short story collection. £2.99 on Amazon? I can stretch to that, I reckon.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm very smart really. Honest... I got all my exams.

message 272: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments You got all your exams...and then went into COBOL programming. Your argument is invalid. Mwwhhahahahahah!

message 273: by Gingerlily - The Full Wild (last edited Feb 10, 2012 11:37AM) (new)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I coded a triple nested if statement today! And it wasn't invalid at all. Well it compiled, anyway...

message 274: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I sat staring at my Java all day and didn't do a jot of it.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Naughty boy. They'll find you out and kick you out, and you'll have to live on the money you earn writing...

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Woooo, luxury yacht, here I come.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Will you invite all your loyal fans to join you in your celebrations... ** flutters eyelashes beguilingly **

Yes of course, as long as you realise that when I say "luxury yacht" I mean "rented pedalo"...

Dan: I remember you laughing the most at literally the weakest gag in the entire book. Round about the bikes section...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh I see - talk big, but can't back it up! I know your kind.... ** flounces off in disgust **

message 281: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments :)

I do love a good flounce myself.

Hahrumpf!!!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Thats a nasty cough you have there. Here, have some of this...

message 283: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Not the bleeping custard again. Nooooooo.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments It has some other ingredients in it. Some are alcoholic...

message 285: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments you use alcoholics as ingredients? You sick, twisted, genius.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments The recipe is a family secret - handed down for unrold generations...

message 287: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Do people use the creative writing section here for just showing off whatever random scribbles they fancy, or is is supposed to be for stuff intended for to be released in some manner, at some point?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments The what? Sorry I don't know.. and after 3 glasses of wine I think I may wait until tomorrow to go looking...

message 289: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Only 3? Lightweight ;)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments If I drink more than 2 now - half a bottle, I wake up in the night feeling hot and I can't get back to sleep. The perils of old age.

message 293: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Maybe a different type of booze is required.

I've always been a lightweight myself. And have such an uncultured palate that most wine tastes like vinegar. And yet I love port.

message 294: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments .. in a storm?
At 82% now - another pm follows. Stand by to repel borders!

message 295: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments I'm loading grapeshot.

message 296: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Grapefruit shot's bigger!

message 297: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Takes down less boarders per shot though. But I suppose it's a slightly more tasty way to go.

message 298: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Whoops, boarders. Well done tht man! ;)
Fewer boarders though eh.

message 299: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Repelling borders is a good idea too. Push back the boundaries.

message 300: by Jim (new)

Jim Chaseley (jimchaseley) | 492 comments Oh no a less/fewer travesty. I need to think faster than I type once in a while.
