I love the whole idea of the story. Whenever I don't have a book to read I pick this one back up!! I've read it like 20 times!!!!
I liked the book but didnt love it but it was so different then the basic YA novels.
He did it to stop her from loving him. He probably wanted to scare her off so that she'd stay away from him, but of course that didn't work.
That was so random I had to go back and re-read that part, but seriously I found it a little harsh and childish. And it didn't really prevent Luce from coming near him, it made her urge to go to him so much stronger !!!
It was funny as hell, though! It was childish. It's like he was saying "stay away from me" with his middle finger. I'm sorry I just thought that part was so funny, probably one of the few funny parts in Fallen.

Any other girl probably would have cursed him out for flipping them or ignored him. I would have cursed him out but of course Luce pursued him.
