Other books have made theological arguments, I take every verse the false prophets use and explain what those verses really mean.

Hey Lee, my post wasn't in response to Susan's...just a random post sharing my book Heartstone. I can see how the timing of my post might have blurred things a bit. Also, really appreciate you reaching out to seek clarification and I'm not slighted at all. ;)

Regarding Heartstone, the only thing I offer is my story...that's it.

Have you viewed your ebook on Kindle? I did a look inside the book and the text after the front matter is all running up and down not across the page.

message 63: by Susan (new)

Susan (susanrohrer) | 10 comments Hi, Michael. This Look Inside thing is a bit of a puzzle. Yes, I've seen my book on Kindle and the formatting looks good. I've also heard from people who are reading it with the free Kindle apps and they say that the formatting holds great there, too. I did check the Look Inside function straight from my PC and saw that the formatting was squirrely when you look at it without Kindle. So, I'll investigage further. In the mean time, please let me know if you have any problem when downloading the book or free sample to Kindle, okay? Thanks! :) Susan

Christine Brooks-Martin (cbrooksmar10) | 8 comments Hello Susan,
I am Christine Brooks Martin and just joined the group today. I am the author of two titles "Pray What God Says" and "Talk to God with Affirmations of Faith" that are available as eBooks and in paperback. I am presently working on my third title regarding the Holy Spirit. My passion is encouraging others to develop and deepen their relationship with God through prayer which is our most effective method of communicating with Him. Information about my books are on my profile page and website www.praywhatgodsays.weebly.com.

message 65: by Susan (new)

Susan (susanrohrer) | 10 comments Hello, again. I'm following up about the formatting issues Michael noticed on Amazon's Look Inside function. I checked the Kindle forums and learned that there was a change not long ago that is messing up the formatting only within the Look Inside function for eBooks (not print). Many eBook authors are experiencing this and trying to work it out.

Gratefully, there's an easy way around this. All the reader has to do to peek inside an eBook is to download the free sample to their Kindle or Kindle app. The free sample on my book is the first couple of chapters, so I hope readers will just click on that to check out what's behind the cover. :)Susan

C.L. | 10 comments The third e-book of The Reboot Files in a series of Christian Mysteries of the continuing adventures of Irene Waters and Troy Stenson. This time they find themselves in the small town of Redemption to do a story on "The Harbinger of Retribution" an impressively sinister looking statue which is supposed to have a curse. But what the curse is supposed to be or do, no one can agree on, making it difficult to solve a mystery when no one can agree what the mystery is supposed to be. Adding to their difficulties their usually helpful boss, Bernie Youngman, has become surly and uncooperative. So Irene and Troy are on their own as they navigate the maze of rumors, facts and downlight lies to even find square one to solve the mystery.

Teric Darken (tericdarken) | 5 comments My latest release, Wickflicker, began lurking the streets late July to rave reviews.

I have been told the novel is: "C.S. Lewis meets Stephen King," and best selling novelist, Eric Wilson had these words to say about it: "I love your dialogue and characters... it's very engaging... you have some great storytelling skills..."

Wickflicker is a thrilling, modern day allegory of the prodigal son and has been chosen for October's book discussion in the Goodreads Contemporary Christian Fiction forum. Please check it out if time affords you the opportunity. I will be discussing the book in an atypical manner.

Nike Chillemi My debut novel BURNING HEARTS (arson/murder and romance) is a historical romantic suspense set in post WWII Long Island, NY, out in ebook format through Desert Breeze.

My second in the series, GOODBYE NOEL, a Christmas/New Year themed romantic suspense is coming out December 15th. One of the sub-themes of the novel shows how Christmas was universally observed in America in that time period. Sanctuary Point Book One Burning Hearts by Nike Chillemi

Be sure to post it around Goodreads.

Pls feel free to post it on Realistic Christian Fiction Fans. I realize the novel is speculative, but if it's not sanitized, it would be realistic within its own context. :)

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, I will be doing more postings, but spreading them out. What do you mean by speculative?

message 76: by Nike (new)

Nike Chillemi By speculative I mean: fantasy, sci fi, horror, steampunk, or a combo of these.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

That's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure.

No, The Huguenot Sword is straight historical fiction. Yes, my YA books are fantasy, but not this, though I can see where there might have been some confusion.:)

Penny Zeller (pennyzeller) | 1 comments Hi Everyone! My third historical romance book was just released last month. It follows "McKenzie" and "Kaydie" and is titled "Hailee." It's the final book in my Montana Skies trilogy. It's always a bit hard to say "goodbye" to a series when it's completed. :)

However, I'm on to a new historical romance series that takes place in the post-Civil War era. I'm also focusing on doing more movie reviews, humor posts, and author interviews/giveaways on my blog "A Day in the Life of a Wife, Mom, and Author" at

Have a wonderful and blessed week!

Gail Opper (gailtrebeschopper) | 2 comments I'm brand new to Goodreads and have enjoyed reading all the things all of you have written and accomplished. Unlike most of you, I didn't dream of becoming an author. I received a call to write the book I wrote. It is titled The Great Deception: Biblical Illiteracy and Blind Indoctrination in the Denominational Church. It's a tough title, but it says it all. It is a story that once I researched it shocked even me (and I'm the author!). I now understand why I received the call to write it.

I wish all of you great success in your endeavors. This is a great site. I'm glad I'm a part of it.

Chris (chrismackinnon) | 1 comments I have written and self-published two books. "Worship Theory" is a study about worship, taking a look at how it reflects our ideas about God, what acceptable worship is, and how to live a lifestyle of worship. "The Story of Christmas" is my first book, smaller, but a great devotional read going into the holiday season.

I also have a free e-book on my website entitled, "Tainted," discussing the concept of filters in our hearts and minds, how they are tainted, and what effect that has on our relationships and personal lives.

I am finishing a book about living a fruitful life, based on Ephesians 2:10, and looking ahead to a book about being the Body of Christ.

message 92: by Gregory (last edited Feb 21, 2012 10:33AM) (new)

Gregory Booker (goodreadscomgreg_booker) | 15 comments New to the site and anxious to share in the Good News. For the record, I am a student of biblical prophecy who actively examines that area of scripture along with general study of the Bible. It has been fascinating for me personally to feel inspired about the hope of Christ return which is a central part of bible doctrine but not very well presented except through sensational news.

The title is "Seven Letters Detailing the Prophetic Framework for the Return of Christ" and is available on athttp://www.authorhouse.com/. It's has preview pages and is based on studying the Bible from a literal perspective. That's the way it happened when Jesus first came why would it be any different. The book gives seven different snapshots of key events in our world that is matching up to scripture. Such as the the anemic state of Christianity itself (slumbering)...The Return of Israel....The intensity of Anti-Semitism (Romans Ch11)..The Middle East & Europe (Iron & Clay) Coalition to come....etc. It is written based on faith and it has the facts to support our faith. Blind faith wont do us much good when the going get tough for Israel is our example of that fallacy!

message 93: by Laura (new)

Laura (goodreadscomlaurajdavis) | 7 comments Hello everyone, I'm new to the group myself. I have one book out, Come to Me, it is a novel about the life of Christ through the eyes of his mother. It is a Reader's Favorite Award Winner.

I also have a bible study coming out next month that is a companion guide to Come to Me. The bible study is called Learning from the Master: Living the Surrendered Life and is perfect for private study or your ladies group at church. By looking closely at Jesus' life, his mother and apostles we can learn how to live a truly surrendered life.

In addition to that I have a story coming out in the May edition of Chicken Soup for the Soul: That's Married Life. It is called There's Always Pie.

message 95: by Gregory (new)

Gregory Booker (goodreadscomgreg_booker) | 15 comments I have written 2 books related to bible prophecy. Second one is just released is "Inspired Writings of a Prophet for Jesus the Christ". Available thru Amazon or http://www.inspiredwritingsforchrist.com It focuses on Romans Chapter 11 as it central theme and is more adoration than actual prophetic teaching. However, it teaches God's prophetic word...still. The outpouring is forewarning and forearming to the people of God whose Hope is in Christ. This inspirational work also includes the author's personal experience in salvation and other collective works of poetry and prophetic utterances.
It based on Daniel 70th Week...Matthew 24 also with Romans CH 11 revealing the heart of the problem... "Will the Gentiles make the same mistake against as Israel as Israel made against Jesus?' The answer is a resounding yes....and that is the reason for Christ return as a Deliverer due to the world's unbelief. As we look in the Middle East that reality becomes more real with each passing day. Such is the wisdom of the Lord. Prepare Church......
