Solar eclipse tonight @ 6:30 pm...now, just need to locate my welding goggles...

Solar eclipse... but not in my part of the world! :( And you're not supposed to use welding goggles! Specially made glass is what you need!

I actually said that half in jest, but I did hear that welding goggles were appropriate for an eclipse. Oh well, I probably won't get to see it anyhow.
So, anyone going to watch any of the 2012 Olympics? I think the Opening Ceremonies will be tape delayed for us on NBC (nothing like tape delayed opening ceremonies). I'm interested in some of the events. It seems like every time I watch the Olympics they have added a new event or sport.
I will watch some of the events including including track and field.Sir Paul McCartney will be singing tonight. It is painful to listen to him try to sing; he is becoming Frank Sinatra, a guy who could belt at tunes and should have quit while he still could.
I'll have to dig out my tv tuner as I don't have a tv anymore. I think the opening ceremony is tomorrow morning here so I might be able to catch it.
I think we'll be out of town for the opening ceremonies and first few days of competitions. I think I'll watch the recaps online once I get back again next week :)
Why am i not able to vote for the polls anymore? There used to be a message sent to my inbox telling me a link to get to the polls but now i don't know where to find it because the message is not being sent anymore.
Has anyone ever entered into one of the free giveaways offered on this site?

Well do you know anyone who has recieved WAY more than one book when they won? because I won one recently and instead of getting just one book, I got like 40 of the same book.. What should I do?

Well I contacted the person who was in charge of the giveaway.. No response yet, but hopefully I will hear back tomorrow and get some information. Does it cost money to ship things back to the sender?
