I am in this one as well though I don't know if we'll rush out to see the movie. Looking forward to it!
I have a question. Do I start Hunger Games by 3/12 or have it finished by 3/12? This will be my first BR.

I say rereads are okay to count in grand total....
I absolutely love this trilogy. I read the whole trilogy in a week. I plan on re-reading this book before the movie comes out March 23, so I will join in this discussion! :)
I also enjoyed this trilogy, I'm still reading the last book. I will go see the movie when it comes out.
I'm definitely in on this one. I want to re-read it before the movie comes out, even though I've read it 3 times already. The first book in the trilogy is just so good. :)
So it's nearly time to begin our Buddy Read of The Hunger Games! I am discussion leader for this one and am looking forward to finally finding out what all the fuss is about :)
I am going to try to be in on this one. It has been on my TBR list for a while and I really want to read it before I see the movie.
Welcome, glad to have you :) We have quite a number of us reading along with this one so it should be fun :)
So I think we have:Johanna
Lorelei
Sharon
Ashley
Beverly
Nikki
Sheena
Ally
Melissa and myself actually reading this month along with a couple of you who have already read it but may take part in the discussion. That's great :)
To all of you, there's plenty of time this month to read the book and the thread is left open for the month following as well, so don't be worried if you get a late start, go on ahead and join us :)
I look forward to discussing the book with all of you, have fun reading!
I will join in the discussion. I was going to read it again and remembered my Mom has my copy. I can't even contain myself. I read this book very fast because I kept wanting to know what happened next!
Well, I believe that if we get the number of people planning to read this and discussing as well then we are going to go right through with the series. At least that seems to be the direction things are moving in at the moment. To all of you reading with us this month, please feel free to give us your thoughts on continuing a Buddy Read of the series either here or in the Buddy Read Thread.
Absolutely, although I only have discussion questions in the first two sections at the moment because that's as far as I've gotten, but you can feel free to discuss and even add some of your own in the other sections as well if you want. We'll all get there soon I hope :)
I have now finished Book 1 (great read, wow, kept me up far too late, ugh) and have added in points for discussion in all the threads as well as discussion questions in the end of book topic. There's still plenty of time to join in on this one (it's only the 3rd after all) and it is a quick read. I gave it 5 stars and I am stingy with my 5 star ratings.
I think when I finally get to reading this I will definately keep reading the other two immediately after the first if I like the first one.

Good solution so that people like me can come in later and not be too far behind everyone else.
Okay, so I am thinking that we will wait just a few days to allow some of the other people reading to get caught up as well as to allow me to read a few other books I have obligations for before I have to read Book 2 and then we will post up Book 2, wait a week or so and post up Book 3 (it will all be in this folder). That will hopefully give me time to stay ahead of you all and get discussion questions into all the sections!ETA: I have edited the folder and threads to reflect this.
heeyy !!i would love to join this discussion, especially that I joined the group to find people to discuss The Hunger Games with. im so excited that i immediately hurried to read it although I was planning to read it after i finish the book im currently reading :).
PEACE :)
Well, there is plenty of time, there will be discussions on the whole trilogy for all this month and next month as well. Just be careful to avoid the topics marked with chapters that may have spoilers until you've read that part. Glad to have you join us!

I love that song!! I pretty much have been listening to it non-stop. I feel like it's definitely getting me in the right mindset for the movie! :)
Johanna wrote: "I have just started reading this book this morning and I am very excited about it!"It will change something in you, and i bet it will be one of your most favourites. trust me :)
I´m just wondering if I should just read the other two right after this one or not.. in some series people sometimes give advise to not read all the books after each other..
I read all three in a weekend. They kind of all flow into one another--in my opinion, you could even read the three as one long book.
Update: I have not forgotten that we will be continuing with the series. I have a very busy week planned though and also I am not dealing with the time change well so far. I plan to put up the chapter breakdown for Book 2 (Catching Fire) at the end of the week, either Friday or Saturday (16th or 17th) which should give me time to get ahead and get discussion questions into the sections. Thanks for your patience and may the odds be ever in your favor (sorry, couldn't resist!).
Actually no thanks Sara because I intend to do it at the point at which I've read let's say the first two sections so I can post the questions at the same time.Have a wonderful weekend, where are you going?
