description needs to be english

Book is in English but description isn't, think it's spanish. Can this be changed?

Is this policy written out somewhere? Seems like there have been more non-English default descriptions showing up lately. And, I believe all the ones I corrected were books first written in English.

It's probably because the English descriptions for those books came from Amazon, so got deleted in the recent shenanigans, while the other language descriptions came from other sources, so became default by default.

I would hope the scripts didn't just randomly pick a different edition to pull the default description, but you could be right.

It's not random, but it is most popular. Sometimes that's not the English edition. (And while we'd like it to choose the most popular English edition in most cases, language-recognition software is not reliable.)
