This book ended very well because in the ending, Winifred Perry/Winnie Perry got what she wanted - A good birthday and a good year. She ended up with her best friends after all, and in the beginning of the story, Winnie thought that she was going to lose her best friend, Amanda. But then, she got to be friends with everyone - Amanda, Gail, & Dinah. This book has a happy ending.
