Why is everyone hating on Anubis?

Why is everyone against poor Anubis? Sure Walt is great and all but just because Anubis also has a crush on Sadie he's getting all these negative comments. Walt and Anubis are BOTH older then Sadie...though Anubis is a lot older. I'm not saying he should end up with Sadie but why is everyone hating on him?

I love Anubis.He is one of my favorite charactors in the Kane Chronicles.I do hope they find a cure for poor Walt.I like him also but he isn't as great as Anubis IMO.I love love triangles.

With Twilight, you, from the begining, knew that Bella was going to end up with eddy-boy. Even when wonderful Jacob came into the picture, you still knew who she would go with. (I'm not saying that I approve of her choice.)

However, with the Red Pyramid love triangle... that's a tough one. I really don't know who she will go with. I can't wait to find out though. :D

Uhhh ... How do we know Anubis really likes Sadie? Did I miss something? Because, while I'm definitely into his 'personality' (dark, mysterious, etc), I don't really get this whole Anubis thing. He's a god for crying out loud. Don't gods (in the cultures that Rick Riordan writes about) like 'hook up' with mortals then ditch them, because Gods are immortal. I think that's why everybody is "hating" on Anubis. Walt (even though he's gonna die) is like a 'real' guy, so I think it's easier to picture. Plus, I think Anubis was more like a crush, I imagine him as hot, but unreachable. Also, Anubis is old, even if he feels like a teenager, too. I think we should just wait a couple months until the next book comes out, then decide which one is better.

Walt is pretty sweet. I think he likes Sadie more than Anubis. Anubis has probably gone out with tons of girls in the funeral thing, but Sadie seems to think that she's the only one he's ever 'liked'... ever. Walt truely cares for her and just so you know, I am planning to hunt down the author and murder him if he even DARES to even THINK about killing Walt! He doesn't deserve that!
