well sometimes authors will just ask you out of the blue. I wish authors email me as much as Tana and Sheri lol they get tons of books from what i heard lol :)

I think Tana gets way more than I do, but she's involved with a lot of authors in the Making Connections group. I try not to look at the books there or I will want them too! I have 8 review books left to read, then I will be caught up and can take more!

LOL... My parents live in central time zone... right now I am in Arabia Standard Time. it is just lovely, about 9 hours difference from my parents, and 13 hours difference then my family.

Hi Maddison, it just happened to me with my blog and now they won't stop lol, I think just by getting followers on my blog and next thing I knew authors were emailing me. Plus I read a lot of genre's so that helps also.

My two cents: I'm an indie, so the only promotion I've been doing is querying blogs I stumble across for honest reviews.
IF YOU BLOG IT...WRITERS WILL COME!!!
Also, with the advent of the e-reader, the big publishing houses will be calling too. Bloggers get the word out on books, and with the demise of more and more brick and mortar stores, you guys are the gatekeepers now.

OH MY GOSH!!! Just finished the book and it was AWESOME!! I loved the story, every single chapter was amazing. Very well written, the characters were defined and the story line was moving! I Marina was so strong and brave! I'm definetly going to recommend this book to my friends!
