I'm a bit shy...It's ok. Was just wondering if it was a glitch. I'm happy just being able to update author pages etc. If felt good to add to Olga Masters' page, as there was nothing about her at all, am I'm finding her to be a wonderful writer. Thanks for looking into it though! :):)

Thank you, Brenda! It never showed on my page, but I was pretty sure it did on my friend's, but doesn't now.

However the recent changes might have altered that. I might message her to see. :):)

Yes, I would do that. Both of your pages look pretty much the same..they only difference I noticed was she had #147 Reviewers but you didn't have any reference to that...

I guess it doesn't really matter as long as you are still able to do librarian work to other than your own. Don't know what their reasoning would be for omitting it...

message 307: by [deleted user] (new)

I think the '# top reviewer' is in relation to where the person lives and the number of reviewers in that country? And yes, just very happy to be able to continue doing librarian work. :):)

Not sure about that Gina....but your librarian work won't stop, so that's good:D

Authors and members have different 'abilities' Michael...all authors can do a whole lot more with their own profiles, their work etc, whereas members can't do any of that. I guess that's why...they have to differentiate between them...

Rivka has said that Authors, who happen to be librarians, have never had the Librarian link on their profiles. So Georgina, just keep editing. :)

Maggie Hi there,

is it possible to add an ebook?

TITLE: Out of the FOG: Information & Support for those with a Family Member or Loved One who Suffers From a Personality DisorderOut of the FOG: Information & Support for those with a Family Member or Loved One who Suffers From a Personality Disorder
AUTHOR: Gary Walters
Product Description
Out of the FOG was written by a group of people who have experienced a relationship with a family member, spouse or partner who suffers from a personality disorder.

Personality disorders are serious mental-health conditions which affect millions of people but which often go undiagnosed and misunderstood. Personality disorders often deteriorate the quality of life not only of the people who suffer from them, but also their family members, spouses, partners, friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

The acronym FOG stands for Fear, Obligation & Guilt - feelings which often result from being in a relationship with a person who suffers from a Personality Disorder. It was first coined by Susan Forward & Donna Frazier in their book "Emotional Blackmail: When the People in Your Life Use Fear, Obligation, and Guilt to Manipulate You."

It is the goal of this book to help inform and encourage family members, spouses, partners, friends and caregivers as they try to work their way out of the confusion, out of the chaos and out of the FOG.

The emphasis of Out of the FOG is to describe personality disorders from a Non-personality-disordered individual's point of view. In other words; what is it like to live with a person with Narcissitic or Borderline Personality Disorder? What’s it like to have a parent with a Histrionic or Dependent Personality Disorder? How do you cope when confronted with the prospect of caring for someone with Obsessive-Compulsive or Avoidant Personality Disorder?

The descriptions of personality disorders given in this book are based not only on the clinical criteria used for diagnosis but also on the experiences of people who have cared for someone who suffers from a personality disorder; what it feels like, what works and what doesn't.

We often think of people in simple terms such as good and bad, friends and enemies, loving and hateful. Personality disorders are not so simple and the people who suffer from them often exhibit behaviors which are at times constructive and at other times destructive. This often creates confusion for those who come into contact with them.

If you have a family member or loved-one who suffers from a personality disorder, it is our hope that the information contained here may help you understand these behaviors better and navigate out of the FOG in your own life.

My friend Terry Milligan's book: Remembering The Present - A Braidwood Portrait, isn't on GR, and neither is he! Since he has now become a Buddhist monk, I don't think he's too fussed about this sort of thing, but I'd like to add it. :)

Here it is on Google books:
http://books.google.com.au/books/abou...

Another link: http://www1.goulburn.nsw.gov.au/amlib...

I've checked the ISBN and it's correct (I have a physical copy).

As the only cover image available is a terrible copy, I just photographed my book's cover and have uploaded it into my photos: http://www.goodreads.com/photo/author...

I can search out and add details for Terry's author page once it's up. Sure someone has a photo of him somewhere!

Can I ask if one of you can add the book? Will that automatically create an author page for him?

He is a lovely person and the book it is an important part of Braidwood's history, and should be listed.

MANY thanks in advance! :):)

It's done Gina... Remembering The Present - A Braidwood Portrait by Terry Milligan Remembering The Present - A Braidwood Portrait by Terry Milligan. It needs a blurb, if you can contribute that...put it in here if you'd like, I can copy and paste it to the book. I also put (guessed) hardcover, but again, you can correct me if I'm wrong:) His author page is automatic, but it's without any detail.
