I just added a new version of a book, but it has two titles and I added it as the wrong title!!

This is the version I added: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4... (with this ISBN: 9781486278749, just to be sure) but this edition should have the title as The Christmas Angel, NOT Christmas in Cornwall. I know it says that, but I think it's for searching purposes that it takes a while. Normally once I've added a book and clicked "save", the next screen has the cover I've added there, but it just wasn't showing up this time - but nor did it have a greyed out cover like when you've not added one. It just had a blank space!! Which is what made me think it was just slow to load - possibly my internet might be a bit slow today - it's a bit slow loading other things on GR as well, although that could still be GR that's slow rather than the internet, of course...

I fixed your author name - the two new ones came in from Amazon so the spaces between your christian and surnames weren't there. I just need to combine them, which is what isn't working at the moment :)

And now it's worked! I've combined the extra edition with the original in both cases. The new book is now a kindle and a paperback edition.

Both those links go to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Jane :)

But you can fix your problem yourself. Go to "My Books" at the top of the page. Scroll right down, looking at the left hand side past your shelves and you'll see Your reading activity then Add books then Tools

Click "find duplicates". It will say "you have *** duplicates in your shelves". To the right of all books listed, it says, "view all my editions". When you click on that it shows you what your duplicates are. Then you can remove the one you don't want :)

Another way - slightly less complicated - which only shows the one you "ask" for is: Go to My Books, in the small box "search and add books" put the name of the book you want to find, and click "search". Then it should show up two of the one you're looking for. Just click the "X" on the far right hand side to remove.

The first way is a good way to remove ALL duplicates. The second removes only the ones you know about :)

Hi Brenda - I've got an arc from A&U (paperback) with the title of "A Murder at Malabar Hill" publication Jan 2020, ISBN 978 1 76052 940 6

On GR it comes up under the title The Widows of Malabar Hill (Soho) or A Murder on Malabar Hill(Penguin), not exactly the same - on instead of at and different cover, both published Jan 2018. Could you see if you can find the A&U 2020 edition. Thanks :)
