so, I just finished The Collected Works of A. J. Firky. A 4.5 star book I think. I am not good at book reviews and rarely have the opportunity to talk with others about them, so forgive me. I loved this book, from beginning to end. The characters were lovely, funny, witty at times, heartbreaking and honest. This is not the sort of book I usually read, I picked it up because who doesn't want to read about a bookstore? Hope that helps. (Sorry it is late and I am on my phone typing this but no other opportunity available until Sunday night).

I agree Bette! Whenever I find books without blurbs I search until I find a blurb somewhere online...mostly I find them, but with some of the very old books it seems hard...

Thanks Bette, but that's a review, so the guidelines state that reviews aren't blurbs (which they're not) and they're not to go in place of blurbs. So I can't use that...thanks anyway:)

Yes, I worried that being a review, it might not do. I scoured the first two pages of Google and could not find the book details. Odd, isn't it?

Yes it's very strange - I did a fairly comprehensive search too...that's why I thought if Zoey owns the book it might have something on the back or inside the cover about it...

There's something strange going on with the sequel to The Rosie Project - The Rosie Effect.

I've put The Rosie Effect on my TBR, but when you look at the different editions for the book (https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...), it appears to have been put in as just a different edition of The Rosie Project. But then there's this one, without a cover, of an e-book version of The Rosie Effect. Can anyone fix this up? Or is it best to wait until closer to it's release??

I'm currently readingThe Glass Kingdom by Chris Flynn but I think there are 2 Chris Flynns as the one who wrote this, according to the Text bio (see http://textpublishing.com.au/books-an... ) has only written this and A Tiger in Eden, plus articles in journals. While I am a GR librarian, I'm not sure how to fix this...... or if I'm game to try. We could put the bio up for this Chris Flynn from the Text page too, once we've sorted it out.
