Combining has been taking awhile lately. There is an option down the bottom of the combine page to auto combine, it often is the easiest option

I've never used the auto combine Michael...didn't actually know it was there!

Sorry another question. Is it preferred that I don't add editions, or is it okay as long as I request (here) for someone to combine editions? I was happy to do it once I understood the basics and I figure it would be quicker for mods if all that have to do is combine. But if it is going to have people politely nashing their teeth I am happy to leave it. I am a fairly straight forward sort of person so no offence will be taken if I am told to leave it alone.

No we don't mind you doing it - it's the ones who don't really know what they're doing that make work for the librarians, fixing it! But yes, if you add editions then just ask in here for the combining...that's fine Dana:) Whatever you're comfortable with..

Brenda, you know how we added Kat Jumps the Shark? well, I think that the Melinda Houston who is there as the author is a different one to the one already on GR https://www.goodreads.com/author/show..., who has two other books to her credit, as this is the first novel by this author. see http://textpublishing.com.au/books-an... I wonder is there a way to fix this? I suppose we need to add another Melinda Houston to GR (we can put her profile & photo in from Text) and change the author of the book we created to that one?
