For me it has to be finding out (near the very end) who the serial killer was in THE KNIGHT by Steven James.



I was soooo blown away I went back and reread a few earlier parts to see if everything fit. It did. Everything fit, nothing was fiddled with later to make it work. Wow, that one threw me for a loop.

This book is a really, really good read, albeit quite grizzly.

I have this series recommended to me very strongly. I need to take time to read The Pawn, even though I get kind of squicked out by serial killers.

I also don't like serial killers, but find this series compelling. The quality of writing is so high that it is a must read...but it is grizzly.

In the book The Tenth Crusader by Kirk Outerbridge, finding out the relationship between the main character (Macy) and an enigmatic woman leading an army of cyborg women, then finding out that relationship, while shocking at first, is, by far, much more complicated than at first glance. And Macy's wife's reactions to each startling revelation.
