Jessi What do you think would make Nora better? Could you be a better Nora Grey? Why or why not? I'm pretty sure anything can improve her. The only way she could get worse is if she converted to being a nun.

AJ I read in a review somewhere that Nora is like the stupid character in a horror movie who runs off doing completely idiotic things and you just want to scream at her "no,no, don't do it!", but of course she does.

The girl jumps to ridiculous conclusions, and runs off following and 'investigating' people all of the time without actually TALKING to them.

Basically, she's an idiot! I don't understand why Patch is so madly in love with her.

Jessi Exactly my point!! You just hit the (Nora) nail on the head.

rachel ~ trans rights are human rights Patch is a masochistic almost-killer who constantly put Nora's life at risk. How did he make her better?? He's manipulative, secretive, and just not a great guy. Decent character despite the heavy doses of Gary Stu, but whatever.

Nora's just annoying though. She's stupid, and she makes these rash decisions that made me want to punch her in the face. And, to be completely honest, I wouldn't be mad if she died.

Madie The only way to make Nora better is to erase her character from the book because Fitzpatrick is beyond redemption with her!!

Alejandra Casillas She got on my nerves in Silence with her questions. I want to slap her with her 21 questions.

Jessi To all who like Nora: you're probably like her.

Shaz To all those who like Nora, yeah for you there isn't anything that you woud want to change. But personally she could be improved not as a whole, but specific thing. When she wants to find out anything, she just jumps to a conclusion of such and such. In book 2 i did not like her much as she kept running back to Patch even after when i thought she wouldn't fall for the bait etc etc. But maybe this might change as i have not read book 3, just basing this with what i already know and think about her.

Koleen Hansen Nora gray
I like Nora gray I think her is a character as grown and is growing some time she rife around the edge but she is a scared smart caring stubborn character go throw at lot emotional event she hide the fact she struggling with the whole time I mean the man she thought who was her father is murdered and found out he was not her father but a the girl who was mean to her is her sister and her the mean girl father is her father and then her ancestry try her kill and her real father use her mother and trying to use her take over the angel world and you she does not have the right to be rife around the edge I thought as ever right I do agree she is not my top 10 favorite character but she is not all that bad

Shira A character is always the author's imagination...so to blame Nora is to actually blame Becca....but we are all so much attached to the book that blaming the author for
just one character (since she has written such a wonderful book) seem no good....

Samantha The Escapist As I was reading the books I found myself going beyond incredulity and just cheering and patting Nora on the head every time she encountered a situation and reacted how a normal person should act.

I congratulated her for succeeding at her lunch with Vee or for getting through an entire day without wandering into a building full of people who want to kill her. When a situation made her suspicious and she talked to Patch and trusted him instead of jumping to ridiculous conclusions I was shocked and very happy for her.

Sometimes she seems like she's growing into a perfectly sane, healthy person. But this is all in the contrast. Nora is so stumble-bumblingly stupid most of the time I just couldn't help feeling like I was reading from the perspective of a person with a severe mental problem who required coaching and encouragement and support just to get through the day. I was there, hating the book and cheering her on the whole time. I think if Nora did a good LONG stint in a mental hospital they may be able to cure her of her delusions and paranoia.

^AGREED WITH EVERYTHING!
Took the words right out of my mouth.

Danielle I just wish Nora would trust Patch. He could have killed her in book 1 and he didn't. He saved her life. But she continually thinks the worst of him, even when he tries to explain what is happening. It gets ridiculous.

I agree, I do think she can be the horror movie character that always runs off and does the dumbest things. I hope she smartens up and trusts Patch in Finale.

HAHAHAHA This made me laugh so much! All because it's true!! I mean I liked the books still, but she started to drive ME crazy with her stupidity.
